Rat texture compo/photoshop tennis

 (Since I apperently cannot post wips in the compo thread, I'll just do it here)
Dunno if you ppl know the idea of photoshop tennis, but it's simply a way to make a texture together with some one else. So I update something on the texture and send it to Arcane, then Arcane updates something else and sends it back to me, then I paint over Arcane's hideous stuff again and send it back to him, etc etc, so what you see here are just wips.

03:00 (in the morning)+ alcohol + a bad day@work + deadline + more alcohol = photoshop tennis with Arcane = this texture

Arcane wanted to make some kind of lava rat.
(Too bad we can't add a specular map though, that would have really made it glow)

Erik,  I'd suggest you take that down and submit it the proper way as outlined in the first post of the contest thread.

I'd hate to see you disqualified simply becuase you didn't follow the rules for submitting the final result.

I'm sure Arcane would appreciate it as well.

Hehe.  The compo page never said anything about not making a WIP thread, so we are.  And besides, I don't think either of us really care if we're disqualified.

The whole point is that you _don't_ post your WIP for the public to see, you just submit the final version.

That really is how it happens.

Well you have to ask yourself, is it really worth not having anything of yours in Planeshift just to post your images a month early? Most players would love to have anything of their's in-game, so its really kind of odd that you would take it for granted like that.

If you don't want to participate, tell me so immediately so that I can stop worrying about you. Contest entries are supposed to be private - I didn't want to spell everything out, but you guys are a handful And I'd really love to see that work submitted; it's beautiful.

Arcane and Erik are just going to goof around and have fun, without submitting these. It could be a good "tutorial" thread anyway :]

By the way, if anyone's using Photoshop and in need of fur or skin or other brushes, I would recommend the ones you can find here if you don't feel like making your own. Good stuff.

Edit: Eh, it's a wip.  Who cares, right?  Need to make some transitions, get rid of nasty little seams, and obviously finish the unfinished pieces, but you can see how it's coming along.

I looove. the eye. The body is really cool too.. Just the legs and the ears seem to need a little bit of eeerrr. tweaking  O.O

Well, if it is good enough, it will end up in my client, as do all the other good mods. I still just can't wrap my mind around the whole "Not be seen in public" thing. If not for that, the Klyros could have a female skin right now.
