A more Practical container
« on: November 07, 2008, 04:10:33 pm »

 I highly recommend the 2nd or 3rd or 4th mods, unless the slots are too small

rename the old containerdesc.xml and keep it safe.

rename this containerdesc2x8.xml to containerdesc.xml, save in the data/gui directory

download here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?y5yny4yevoj

theory is that transfering to inventory is easier as the distance is shorter from the "transfer to inventory" button or small inventory, adjacent to the container.

\\o//
SINGLE COLUMN for even faster use in the container. And its easier for right handed people. This is the one i'll be using:

download here: (remember to rename to containerdesc.xml)

its about as minimalist as one can get and has all the necessary buttons.

download here: (remember to rename to containerdesc.xml)
http://www.mediafire.com/?bzk2thywvzm

;D

Minimalist with description. The transfer to inventory button is there, just not reflected by an image. So drag and drop anywhere in the right box, like you would in the previous mod above

Not bad at all. Think this falls under mods though.
If I stand on the axis of the world will you mind if I say that the world revolves around me ?

Ah, I feel the carpal tunnel leaving my wrist already!   \\o//
Nice job, much more practical getting the ore back to the inventory!

** Update
A single column with large drag and drop back to inventory on the right side, and with information like weight and capacity!!  Are you kidding me?!  This is the greatest thing since the Klyros migration, which if you are a Klyros was great except for the whole Laanx punishment for not worshipping him/her, but it had to be better than where you were before and you won out in the end being more stubborn than a god and now you can do what you want in Yliakum, so that's good!  Makes me want to train metallurgy again!  Works well with sacks too!  Well done Svuun!!  Double

Added a few more variants. the single columns are obviously the easiest to use, so forget the two column version unless the size the of the slots really bother you.

Caarrie,

I've watched modding from a distance and may even start to do some of my own because of you (have to get my own server working first), but I don't think I've ever said this so here goes.

Thanks for all your hard work and for the fun you must have bringing this sort of stuff to the game.

You Rock.

Thanks and i have a few ideas for some other mods i might work on in the future, that are a bit different then what i have done already but we will see how that goes as i start to work on them. Remember anyone that does mods is more then willing to contact me to get svn write access to the ps3dmods repro, i dont want to limit it at all, unless someone is abusing the right in some way.

Anybody got a download location that works without Javascript?
That Mediafire webpage has some of the typical elements of a drive-by adware/spyware install site, so I don't want to risk Javascript with them.

all these mods are located on the planeshift3dmod repository.  http://planeshift3dmod.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/planeshift3dmod/svuun/container%20mods/

most of the other mods can be found starting in this directory: http://planeshift3dmod.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/planeshift3dmod/
