Dooooooom!
Wait, apparently, someone calculated wrongly and the end of the world will be in 104 years. Bad luck for those who sold everything I guess  ;D
I'm gonna have sparkling wine at wor.. I mean work hard at work and then just enjoy the couple of free days.
.....also a saddle that won't pinch the tail. One day!

Read up on it. Everyone's dumb - the mayan calendar just rolls over to another b'ak'tun. In fact, the Mayans possessed even larger measurements than this, meaning they could go even further into the future.

Woops, doomsday people. Woops.

I regret to announce that this is the end.

I bid you all a very fond farewell

;) Come up to my place, Ara.  We can share some bubbly and take turns shaving pine branches into spears for nutria hunting.
Also, it's more credible to others if you grow in power slowly over time.  First kill rats, then noobs, then klyros, and eventually work your way up to more powerful creatures ~ Miomai

yes! we can use the hides fer our clothing, meat fer our food, we can make soap out of the fat and decorate our wigwams with nutria rat skull totems! we can even carve their bones into arrows to kill more nutria rats with!

but seriously, i'll be at tunica falls all day with friends.

here's something to read as the clock strikes down:

Apocalypse does not point to a fiery Armageddon but to the fact that our ignorance and our complacency are coming to an end. Our divided, schizophrenic worldview, with no mythology adequate to coordinate our conscious and unconscious -- that is what is coming to an end. The exclusivism of there being only one way in which we can be saved, the idea that there is a single religious group that is in sole possession of the truth -- that is the world as we know it that must pass away. What is the kingdom? It lies in our realization of the ubiquity of the divine presence in our neighbors, in our enemies, in all of us. — Joseph Campbell, Thou Art That
all blessings to the assembled devotees.

That you can do in Halle (Germany) at the river Saale. They are said to have yellowish flesh.

:O  How odd.

I'm dying of flu *groans* and earlier today I was looking for something interesting to watch. I've just watched 2 hours of Joseph Campbell, "The power of Myth" (at the Skywalker ranch.) he was pretty cool guy. Highly recommendable.
