PS has really been out for 5 years??????

5 and one half, actually. Or well, that\'s where PS3D development started. PlaneShift itself has been in the making for over 10 years.

\'Are you trying to tell us that you are getting old???\'

Well, let\'s put it a different way; As long as I\'m not older than Moogie, I\'m not old. :P

I couldn\'t care less about the game itself. I\'m here for the people, not the graphics and doodads. IRC is my thing. :)

Since last monday, it\'s been 5 years of me and PS, so hah, I\'m still the person who\'s seen the most here, and I\'m still the best! None of you will ever beat me! :)

No, no and no.

Reason 1: If you have anything to do with the PS settings, then you\'re a settings dev in the PlaneShift team, which means you gain access to GM9 / God commands, and can do whatever you want.

Reason 2: If you DON\'T have anything to do with the PS settings team, you have NOTHING to do with the ingame settings, and therefor you are NOT supposed to do events, simply because settings are none of your business.

You people have to get it into your heads that settings devs do events, \"GMs\" don\'t. GMs are tech support; They are NOT event organizers. They simply lack the skills and the ability and imagination to do settings-related events. It\'s not bashing, it\'s fact, and I don\'t care how many raids you\'ve done on insert-ridiculous-private-server-for-random-korean-game-here. You\'re no event organizer, and you have no clue what kind of planning and how strict you have to do, to create an imaginative and successful gameplay-related event.

Raids... Bleh. Someone should kill the person who invented that stupid thing.

P.S. If you argue with this, you don\'t know what you\'re talking about! :)

Edit: No GM or dev should ever have the ability to spawn items. The server administrators (Vengeance, Acraig and Talad) yes, but not any of the GMs or regular devs.

Edit2: None of the players either.

And then they should respawn so the group can kill them again and again and recieve more phat lewt. Yes, great idea which adds enormously to the RP and creativity of a game. :)

Although, you forgot to tell us WHY you want this idea to be implemented. I\'m sure there is a reason.

http://www.google.com

Find a .mp3 to .ogg converter program, and replace the files in your PlaneShift folder. Easy as that, and no point making a whole new program just for PS, which does exactly what so many other programs already do.

Any reason why you want this idea to be implemented, or is it just becuse it\'d be yet another stupid/cool way to make money?

Sure and we could make the fighting turn based as well. Err...

Anyway, standing at an oak tree shouldn\'t necessarily provide any protection what-so-ever, but standing behind one would give you some cover.

However, there\'s a thing I don\'t understand about your suggestion. Why would people only gain a percentage of protection from hiding somewhere? I mean, an archer doesn\'t get terribly bad at shooting arrows simply because you\'re half hidden, or simply because you turn your back at him or something. Either you\'re covered, or you\'re not. On the other hand, it might decrease someone\'s chance to hit you, but damage reduction? Not a chance. If you hide behind a tree and someone shoots at you. He might miss a lot more because there\'s a tree standing in the way, but if he hits, you still get just as much shot as if the tree hadn\'t been there at all. Ouch.

This idea is thought of. Not to worry, however with the current list of jobs (none?) it is very hard to encourage trading, because who would want to buy ores from others when ores are good for nothing? :)

Don\'t worry. As the game progresses, and jobs start being implemented, supply and demand will automatically implement the trading profession.

Is there a reason behind this request apart from you just wanting to gain points faster and money easier (stupid reason)?

So you want to make a map. Why don\'t you do as aarobber said? Talk to Talad, and ask him what you could do, to contribute to the team. It\'s that simple.

The year is subdivided into four seasons only because of the cultural heritage of the people coming from the surface and the observation of the cyclic phenomena of vegetable growth. During the twenty-four periods of the year, the Crystal\'s azure light varies marginally, helping to reinforce the different periods.

Which means no cold months. So what do you believe? Unfinished settings put in the pre-alpha version of a game, or the settings that was clarified long ago, and put on the main page by the leader of the project? :)

Seven years of school = Seven books = Seven is the strongest magical number in existance, according to the H.P. setting = Why He made seven horcruxes = Why He is almost immortal.

Gee, haven\'t any of you people actually read the book(s)?

And Ayshe, you have seemed to misunderstand the whole point of the reveal-everything-ending. It was never to just sum up what happened in the book, it\'s always been to give clues to what will happen in the following books, and to sort out all the confusion there has been ever since you start reading the book, simply because there never is enough clues to exactly figure everything out.

You people disappoint me very much. Discussing something you have no clue about... *Sigh*
