Dialog Window Tabs needs reorder?

The current "Dialog Window" has following "Tabs":
Main | NPC | Tell | Guild | Group | Auction | System | Help

wouldn't it be usefull to split the Main into Global and Public like
Global | Public | NPC | Tell | Guild | Group | Auction | System | Help

cause either:

• To much infromation is spooled in the Main Tab
• Or, if you switch off the appearnace of this info in Main (via Options) you have to toggle often between Tabs
• You have to scroll a lot

But all in common: You are slowed down in RP-performace. Aren't you?

As a reminder:

Public: /say, /shout, /me, /my, /greet and the other emotions
Global: All what is set in Options to "On"

The reason why?
It's not a well readable "Main", if you have set to much channels to display here.

I think they need to take greet and stuff out of System. I never look at system unless for a particular reason, such as after doing a /who. Even a System-Action sort of tab would be better, to keep from people spamming the screen with greetings like some tend to do, and because people seem to like greeting each person individually when they should just unselect everyone and greet 'everyone'. But these are generally uncontrollable factors, and as well, the extra system tab would get annoying and would be somewhat space-wasting for some people. Perhaps just putting some sort of usage limit on such commands that show up in the System chat like the greet command and then transferring those commands to the main chat as default like the /me and /my commands would be a better idea.

Quantus, you won't make everyone happy this way. You basically ask for another tab you can customize as you wish, but with a name, which makes some people think you want there stuff everyone see worldwide ;P

Anyway, i proose that we could have possibility to create tabs as we wish and decide what we wish to see inside, also as we wish. That will make everyone happy ;P

No, I'm not asking for a seperate Tab, wich can be customised.
I'm asking for a seperete Tab, where the RP takes part. Farren got it nearly described.
NPC's are having an own Tab. Tells, Guilds, Groups and so on too, but the main intention of PS is to make RP as easy as possiible and therefore is no own Tab.
Either you do it in the way as Farren and switch all messages to "Off".


Today I'm switching all to "On", when I'm playing "normal" and all to "Off", when I'm RPing.

I don't know, i'm RPing all the time, as long as people around aren't too stupid. RPing isn't only about talking around, doing nothing else.
I don't know, maybe better would be bunch of new chat windows you can premeda in any amount you wish and which you can open/close when there is need. With all the current tabs of course, with different customization.

Sometimes I feel a lack of second message window on the screen.

Why not just have all tabs be customizable, and have some blanks ones as well. Sort of like the shortcut list.

Included in the options would then be:

[Visible] Checkbox. Tell the client if you even want to see that tab at all.
[<name>] Editable text box to let you change the name of the tab.

Blank tabs would be numbered, and not visible by default.

Flash options:

[Once] flashes once for each new message in that tab.
[Slow] A slow 'on....off...on....off' flash until you look at the tab.
[Rapid]
[Multi] Only flashes if there is more than one message.

Many interesting things could be done with the tab system this way.
