The Drunkards of Kada-El's
[/size]

History: Some people got drunk and decided there should totally be a guild that encourages more drinking.

Goals:

1. To spread drunken revelry
2. To increase awareness in drinking and to encourage more drinking

Ranks:
Soberly - the lowest rank, and they don't drink at all. No one likes these people.
1st Drink - These people are getting better, but just one drink? Come on.
Drinker - These people are ok. They drink but not that much.
Heavy Drinker - The first respectable rank. They drink pretty heavily, but don't have a tab yet.
Tabber - These people drink enough to have a tab. They're legit, but they actually pay their tabs.
Drunken Gamblers - A special rank for people who have a tab, but waste all their tria on gambling or they might pay their tabs.
Bad Tabber - These people are really legit. They don't pay they're tabs off, but Allelia hasn't gotten mad at them enough to take the tabs away.
No Tabber - Drinks enough that Allelia has gotten mad enough to take away their tabs, but they keep drinking anyway.
Ratter - He has gotten Allelia mad enough that she puts those rat tails she buys in his drinks. That's right, the Legendary Dihenis. He never even bothered with a tab, and he is the "Leader" when he isn't completely drunk.

How to join:
Talk to anyone who's drunk in Kada-El's, they're most likely already part of this guild or looking to join themselves.

The Hydlaa Plaza / deV-day!!
« on: February 14, 2008, 07:50:05 pm »
Since many of us don't have dates, and I don't want this day to go to waste, we should celebrate deV-day!!

Who cares about that Valentine's day when we can celebrate the people who make this game?

So I propose that every febuary 14th we should celebrate the Devs and GMs for all their hard work on this game, to give them a break from all the complaining the rest of the year.

Single Author Stories / The Twins: Aeridus
« on: January 16, 2008, 04:10:50 pm »
Today Aeridus kept his eyes closed when he woke up. Usually, he was always getting ready for the day almost right after he woke up, but last night he had a dream he didn't want to forget. For whatever reason, he dreamed about his twin and his parents. Why had he dreamed about this now? It had been more than fourteen years ago. They had left him. They had taken his twin brother and left him. Why did they leave him? The only thing he knew about it was they had come here a few months after his birth when they had suddenly left with his brother. The elder told him that his brother needed a skilled mage around the time he was left there, it was something about what had happened when his brother was born. He was a sickly child, but the elder said he should consider himself lucky that what happened to his twin hadn't happened to him. He was told the magic hadn't worked and his twin brother had died. What had become of his parents wasn't so clear. Some people said that they died, but these people weren't sure if it was just death. It could have been the True Death. But the more popular answer was that his parents had just left. If they had left why didn't they come back to him!?! He realized there were tears slowly winding down his cheeks, and when he moved to get up, he realized his pillow was wet. As he sat up he angrily wiped away his tears. Why should he be crying about people who didn't care about him enough to come back after his twin had died? He started getting ready for the day.

"Aeridus, where is your mind today! you need to focus!" his instructor said as he slammed a book down in front of Aeridus. Aeridus had been thinking about his dream again for whatever reason. He quickly flung it out of his mind and opened the book to where they had left off. "Now, the ceremony is in a few days. Have you thought about which Way you were going to learn?"
"I was thinking about, maybe, brown way."
His instructor sighs "You need to be sure Aeridus, you'll be studying this the rest of your life, a quite long one it seems it'll be. You've learned the rites haven't you?"
Aeridus smiles at this this "How could I not? You've drilled it into my head everyday since I was ten years old."
His instructer relinquishes a little chuckle at this "I'm glad. We have to make sure to keep the Alliance. It wouldn't do for us to let them down. So you are going to be a Brown Way mage? I need to finish preperations then. Well, you can go for today, and we probably won't have to meet until after the ceremony. Don't forget what you have to do!"
As Aeridus is walking out he turns around with a big smile on his face "Oh, you worry too much. I could probably do it in my sleep, though the water might wake me up."

[more later. Sorry for having this so short :)]

Single Author Stories / The Twins: Vidoferus
« on: January 16, 2008, 04:08:36 pm »
Today Vidoferus sat up in his bed instead of staying lying down. Even though the sun wasn't even up today, he wanted to make sure he remembered his dream. It was a dream about his twins and his parents. He hadn't thought much about them, because he was almost thirteen and he was training for the hunts he would soon have to take part in. All he really knew about them came from the village elder. He had told him that he had needed to be healed magically, because of a birth defect. For whatever reason, they had left his brother behind in another town. It seems that his parents thought his twin brother would be fine, but an epidemic struck the town not long after. For most adults and healthy children, all that happened was they got sick, were bedridden for a few weeks, and then got better. His brother was sickly as it was, and his fate was much worse. The villagers had done all they could to help, but in the end, his brother had died. But the strangest thing had happened after that. His parents had left with a caravan going to Hydlaa. They never made it. The rumors were that the caravan was attacked by rogues and everyone was killed. Something wet landed on his hand and he flinched, looking up. His vision was all blurred, and his cheeks were wet. He realized that he must have been crying, and his tear must have fallen on his hand. He slowly wiped his eyes off and got up to go outside and face the day.

"Vidoferus, what's with you today, you can't even pick up the sword by the right end today!" His instructor yelled at him while rattling his shield. Vidoferus quickly snapped to attention and flipped his sword around. He had drifted off thinking about his dream while his instructor lectured. "I am ready now, I was just making sure you were paying attention" Vidoferus said, with a half-smile on his face.
His instructor frowned "I do not need to be worried about my opponents' incompetence in a battle, it is just another advantage they grant me. And believe me, you will need all the advantages you need against me, but especially your enemies"
Vidoferus bows his head and says "Sorry master. But don't worry I have improved, I know I have a chance against you this time."
"I did not bring you here to fight, have you forgotten the ritual is soon? Are you  prepared for it?"
"Y-yes I should be." But in truth, Vidoferus had forgotten all about it. He had not been practicing for the ritual, he had wanted to show his master up, or at least show his master that he had improved greatly.
"Make sure you are completely ready. It would not do to not only let down this village, but more importantly, the Alliance. Make sure you know the rites too of course. Do not forget what to do the day of the ritual either. That should be all for today, and we will not need to see each other until after it is completed. Just have everything learned Vidoferus. Do not dissapoint me."

[more when I think of more for both of them]

Wish list / skill boost for random job
« on: September 14, 2007, 08:11:28 pm »
ok well i don't think this exact idea has been put up, i searched and nothing really conclusive came up. if this is too obvious for the wish list then go ahead and delete it, but i hope its good enough.

what i would like to see implemented is a random job skill chosen at character creation that would start off at level 3 or something. this is like in RL where you may have natural talent in something, like a musical instrument, or you have a special interest or aptitude for a job. it wouldn't be the same as the parent's job, because you would naturally learn that anyway, unless you want an extra few levels for that. it doesn't seem to be in either character creation.
