So a post update update....

A bunch of quest bugs have been fixed on production already so all the quests work fine.

A crafting code bug which was creating stacks of 0 items has been fixed on production.

A crafting code bug which was creating crashes due to stacks of 0 items has been fixed on prodcution.

Whats left.

It was not mentioned in the rules update change log, but it is now possible to do much much more bulk crafting, this time with combinations. So when you would combine 1a+1b=1c you can now do 65a+65b=65c in one go and no longer need to do it 65 times. Where this is possible it will show as the following 'combine 1a and 1b into 0c' that 0 in the crafting book acts as a wild card so the number it makes depends on the number of items you give it. The items need all be exact multiples as well, so, 10a+11b=/=10c + 1b left over.

However there is a bug in the crafting rules which was not fixed prior to release. This is if you have the same starting item making two final items which are multiples of each other you only ever get the first item the server finds, for example.

2a = 1b

and

20a = 1c

If you give it 20a to try and make 1c you will always get 10b (10*2a).

This will just require someone to edit the crafting rules to fix it.

Thanks to all who have reported bugs so far.

Venalan.

Hey guys,

So we just had another two rounds of server updates to fix more crafting bugs. Big thanks go to Ravna for fixing them, and Talad for updating the server when we asked.

Previously, the bulk crafting allowed you to make stacks of items greater than 65, say 225, but when you relog the server lowers it to 65 so 160 items would vanish. It is now no longer possible to make stacks above the maximum of 65.

We have also added a code fix which should mean the 'you moved away from X' while crafting is finially fixed for all items for all crafts.

The crafting bug I mention in my last post is still there however.

If any more problems appear please let us know.

Thanks.

Hey all,

So we have had an exploit reported for the skill quests which allows you to repeat them faster than expected. As such we have disabled the ability to repeat the quests. Once a server fix can be made the quests will be set to repeatable again.

A server patch has been made and applied to the production server, this should fix the exploit.

Have fun!

Me again,

We have just validated another crafting problem...

This time located in the forge, what happens is that any item placed in there which does not have a valid transformation (like blade -> heated blade) falls into a catch all transformation which last about 10+ seconds, and transforms the item to nothing. Basically resulting in deleting the item. Previoulsy you would be exposed to the garbage collection which makes a pile of dust, but that lasts 200 or so seconds so you have much longer to pull your items out. For the time being we suggest you just pay attention to auto transformations in the forge as you are likely to lose lots of items if you do not take them out promply once made.

Thanks,

Venalan
