Updater Problem? (and labels help)
« on: August 02, 2009, 09:27:42 am »
I try to open the updater, but it just cloeses right away. DOes that mean I've already been updated? And, my shortcuts appear very tiny, and I can't see them :(

the updater can be seriously bugged. there are many fixes in these forums though. im on a mac, os X, and it never works and i never fixed it.

as for the shortcuts, i may be understanding you wrong, but if its just the ingame window you can click and drag the corner to resize it...

I use Mac also. The way I got my updater to work was to download the patch at www.planeshift.it/download.html. Never had a problem since. The way to know if it worked is to check the updater.log in the PlaneShift folder. If it worked correctly there should a log of what happened. If you cannot find the log you can also open Console immediately after the update and it will show the log. If you are running Windows, I would recommend downloading the patch if you haven't already.
