The horse, to PS
« on: October 12, 2006, 02:02:21 pm »
No im not talking about bringing horses to ps, but rather, something similar to them... The horse played a LARGE part in the mediveal days, they were the main source of travel. Im just asking/suggesting if there are plans or ideas for a creature that can be ridden [ond land] to get to distant cities and particapate in other activities, such as races.... I am aware there will be flying creatures which can be tamed and ridden on, but what about a creature that runs on the land?...

If of course the staff already have plans for something like this, then thats fine too, im just curious really...

Something similar to a horse? Of course! ;)

Farmers do need beasts of burden.

There are riding beasts in the PS Setting.  One NPC (Rabartus Livrandar) states that "...some ride horses..." but that he prefers to ride consumer type worms.  I forget their name, but he talks all about it.  So maybe you can go lasso a consumer and "break" it?   ;D

Well, worm-beings are all pretty much slow anyway, their advantage would probably be stamina and weight capacity.

One hopes the right of ownership for this on-land beings will have no bounds, as it happens with the fliers... And having to buy equipment for these beings to be able to actually carry things would only bring more realism. Hmm, now that I think of it, the worms could bring another kind of knightship, worm knights! Or if the worms are big enough, they could become a major way of transportation... oh well, that'd be wierd.

Well perhaps someday we will be able to ride our groffels into battle ;)

That would definately look different on the streets when something like that would be implemented ;)

Would be cool if there was a spell to transform groffels or them other ones, the pudding lookin things you know what i mea. well ianyway to transform them into bigger, more useful varieties of the beast. some could be for pack horses, some could be for riding, and some could be as fighting partners etc. dunno, just thought it'd be cool.

Remember that the current groffel models are baby fledgling versions. They do naturally grow to become much larger creatures - and are simply limited by game mechanics at the moment.

quick question, while we're on the topic of groffels... will yulbars/groffels be the only familiars?

and will there be implemented a need/choice for feeding them?

Oh and how large are they probaly going to get at full size?

The number of pets will continue to expand. As for the other inquiries, I'm sorry sir. You are over your limit for questions. Please try back in 24 hours ;)

Serious answer: I don't know. I'll ..... ask. *g*

Hmm, maybe you can buy armor for your mount, so it can fight if you attack something while riding it? Since you can't put weapons on an animal, maybe defensive and offensive armor. An example of offensive armor is a helmet with sabers. Deffensinve armor speaks for itself. And on a more offtopic note, I have an idea for airmount controls. Just ask if you wanna hear it.
