Ohhh Derula! That looks so sweet~

Not only do I love the point of view you made this on (from behind), but I especially love the little Red Crystal Den sign. It makes it look so warm and home-y! The colours and two characters are beautiful.

Sulaika has a daughter??? Why didn't she ever tell me???

Now for some constructive criticism:
Nice drawing, sorta. It's too monotone with no shading. And they are proportioned all wrong. You got the pose and perspective right, but it could use more detail. Could you PM me what program you're using?

Thanks Vassilli & BoevenF

It's too monotone with no shading.

It does have soft shading, save for the background.

Could you PM me what program you're using?

Can't be bothered, but I'll post it here. It's Inkscape.

that is a criticism on personal stylistic aesthetics, and therefore is not that constructive. Here is a constructive critique, if you will:

The lack of deep shading gives a warm atmosphere and tone to the overall composition. Although it gives the scene a flat, two-dimensional look, this is averted by using more vibrant hues for the foreground characters and lighter tints for the background. (For use of using tinting to create the illusion of depth, look up atmospheric perspective, a technique pioneered by none other than leonardo davinci, the mona lisa being a prime example) Considering the overall loving theme of the scene, this is well justified.
all blessings to the assembled devotees.

What Aramara said :)

To me, it seems obvious a realistic style was not your intent with the curvy perspectives of the background.

I'm glad you told that it was of Sulaika and her daughter. I didn't know from the picture even though often RP'd with her.

The sparse shading reminds me on those Shockwave/Flash vector animations. So I believe it is vectorized, and I can imagine how difficult more detailed shading can be for such material. I don't mind it, though, the level of abstraction has its own expression.

Sulaika will get this link, she is often in the IRC channel #psde on FreeNode.

Wuaah thanks for the warm comments :) The flatness and lack of detail is due to a combination of using vector art, my lack of skill with that and me trying to achieve a comic-style look. So everyone here was right in some way.

I'm glad you told that it was of Sulaika and her daughter. I didn't know from the picture even though often RP'd with her.

Well yeah, I asked her about what they looked like and implemented everything she said in the drawing, but that wasn't much. I added the impression I had that Sulaika's clothing is supposed to be light colored and took some inspiration from the Dermorian models.

Sulaika will get this link, she is often in the IRC channel #psde on FreeNode.

I know, but I haven't found her on FreeNode for two weekends in a row, so I thought some of you (like you or Minks) see her more often anyway.

(I started this before I left the game btw, and just had to finish it.)

Let's say she was on vacation just during this time. She is more or less regularly back now.
