Xoel: You're Awesome!!!!

Indeed. The Yliakum flora and fauna is very likely to be different from the Ryzom flora and fauna ;)
Uniqueness is very important to the developers.

33
Nope. PlaneShift strives to offer a unique world and a unique gaming experience. Reusing assets that are also used in 10+ other games doesn't help towards that goal ;)
All art/settings-assets in PlaneShift are created for PlaneShift and licensed in such a way that they can't just be reused by other projects.

Congrats to Ryzom for going OSS though, the world needs more of such projects :)

When the Irishman is drunk he rhymes and chats,
and thinks of himself quite the chap,
but when he's sober and clears his head,
he finds in his skull a nebula has spread,
for an Irishman past intoxication,
is like any Man in full starvation.

Past the booze and into the haze,
his minds now moves in random pace,
thinking himself quite a Keats,
he announces himself full of feats,
and no longer wary of his station,
plunging fully into lofty conversation,
the Irishman now faces Hubris himself.

Hubris chastens and sorrows the mind,
and drink becomes the fellow's fine,
after binging for a while, the good man
ponders a many wile. The final conclusion
eludes him yet. For a ditch is now his
drunkard's bed.

ThomPhoenix has a face like a cracked dish,
smellin' like a dead fish,
his rhyming wearies me,
bumming my chi.

You thought this thread was dead,
but I resurrected it as I burned ThomPhoenix
to a glorious heaven of balladry I have led
you. And to poetry hell I will send this lummox.
The Irishman attempts to stand,
baffled by the bird's fiery proze he fell,
now risen again to swipe with the hand,
the bird pecks and the lummox of hell,
returns to chide the drunken man,
no balladry can hide your foul intentions,
no fire can harm me, he mentions,
there is only one thing fire can,
and that is to return to sender with
unequivocal heat and pain.

That's right. I arrived later as well - but I heard that once crystals appeared randomly in those days, and collecting them quickly was not easy.
Very true. And if you had collected enough crystals you could go to a website to buy objects such as swords. The old days! :P

In which release was it possible for weather to "fade in all spiffy-like"?

This one shouldn't be too hard...
Well, technically weather was present with fading-in and all in the Molecular Blue release. It even had puddles that would form in the streets. Problem was that it also lagged 99% of the people to death, so it was rewritten at some point. So if you mean when weather with fading-in was present in the Crystal Blue releases, I'll leave that to someone else to look up ;)

Haha, I messed up the order and Santiago's name, but close enough indeed :D

New question:

Which PlaneShift developer held a presentation about PlaneShift for a big internet company?
To Answer: the developer's name and the company's name.
Bonus: Year and link to video ;)

Name in order of succession the forum names of the people that have held the head global moderator title since the forums were migrated to their current home.
:P
Hmm, not exactly sure, but here goes:

Moogie
Karyuu
Neko
Sanchez (he temporarily replaced Neko while he was gone, not sure of the name but it was like Sanchez :P )
Neko

I have an iPhone 3G, and know many PS players and devs who have an Apple mobile device, whether cellular phone or iPod Touch.

It has been proven before: http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=33170.msg382211#msg382211

that the iPhone can handle PS 0.4.03, which is fairly close to 0.5, and if it didn't work, using a 0.4.03 renderer or CS1.4 instead of 1.9 for rendering would make it work.
That was a fake ;) I don't think any phone can handle PS, really. Perhaps in a few years with hardware getting better and Crystal Space becoming more efficient.

The person (a woman) in the quiz answered NEUTRAL. OMGWTF :P

"(a woman)" What are you trying to say?
I meant totally nothing by it. In hindsight I see how some people could take it wrong. Meh, says more about you than me that you took it that way ;)

Wasn't it Bereror who initially implemented the checkers-like game? I know DaveB works on it these days and expanded it greatly into the general "minigames" system.
The first one who really thought up the rules and "lore" of a minigame was Kerol with his Groffeltoe.

The hot headed hillbillies and the cold hearted northerners.

So my question: What was the Third Reich? I forgot. It has something to do with WW2, that's all I know.
Kids know so little about WW2 these days. Strange, I was almost buried in WW2 information during high school. And that was only a few years ago :P
I recently saw a quiz on T.V. The question was:
What "side" was Germany on during WW2:
a) Hostile (Axis) Nations
b) Allied Nations
c) Neutral Position
The person (a woman) in the quiz answered NEUTRAL. OMGWTF :P

Anyway, question:
The member of what secret society carried out an assassination that was the catalyst for World War 1? So name the secret society.
