The way I see it, two ways to look at this.
A. Do not lose sight of the fact this is a game and a bit of fun with new in game mounts is to be expected, also, it is a way to find out what works and not work.
B. Yes it would look like OOC, and you would not expect players to abuse a oversight in code/mechanics.

Remember here if one is seen as a abuse then so must all other misuse of in game mechanics, so before throwing stones, stop and think is this just harmless fun that will die out when novelty wears off or will it become a serious problem.

Just my simple thoughts.

"There must be thousands of starfish, if not millions along the beach! What you're doing won't matter!" The Stonebreaker smiled, picked up another starfish, and hurled it back into the water. "It mattered to that one."

You miss the point of what he says  "It mattered to that one."
As for starfish, have you never seen the crystal light glinting off a wet fish, looks like a star, hence he calls them starfish ^^
So before you nitpick, understand the meaning behind the words.
He gave back the gift of life to one that would had he not threw it back died without hope, so he and his friends are giving you back hope of a better life.

Not wanting to get into a fight so not responding to anyone in particular. Hydlaa is a central point in game at the moment, so from there you can get to BD or Oja about the same time, so that point alone I feel makes the move to all spawn there a valid one.
You would not be happy if that had been BD and you spawn in Oja, or other way round. As for the curse, better than say you leave all your possessions at point of death, like some games do, or you lose say half your PP and/or tria. be glad that it is only time you lose, also how far away is Harny from where you spawn, so again not a bad decision to spawn there, at your own risk equip a sword to enable you to [for lack of a more dramatic word] cheat. {{ Beware the guards}} I am sure these weapons were designed for fighting, not for carrying extra weight. [sure if I am wrong on this point someone will correct it] Do not know about you but weapons are for fighting killing murdering and menacing.

General Discussion / Re: Rp Rules?
« on: December 24, 2009, 10:58:38 am »
Do you not have sufficient rules in real life to live by and be controlled by ?
Lets see, WHY do I play a game ?
1. Main reason to have fun.
 2. To get away from real world rules.
 3. Do others around me have fun when I play? I like to think so, as I try my best not to upset anyone, and be nice and helpful.
 4. Do I RP, yes in my own way, [Point to note here, there are many ways to RP] trying to fit in with the settings and not god modeing, as that is a lame excuse for bad RP.
 5. If I feel my character should die in a RP, then he does.
 6. IF a player asks me for or to give advice, I listen and see if I can give advice.
 7. Would rules for RP make me want to stop playing, SORRY but yes it I probably would, reason; My way is not always the right way, but I get along with almost all I talk to, as well as them getting along with me, so as I show respect for others and they me, so I see no need for rules at all, and I think the covenant is a good guide line to follow.

As for how YOU can help the GMs police bad RP, report and petition the offending player, that way with a brief detail the GM can go to the report and see what was said. [On report the last five minutes are logged, so please use it]

I used the wrong quote on purpose.
YOU have run events without a guildhouse (even though with a GM tag above your avatar's head) and YOU know a house is not needed to make an event happen. Also YOU have had threads deleted for bashing as well, so YOU should know how does it feel.
I have already said why many a time. And if you can't find it in the public posts use your GM account to check it. Considering I set an account for deletion two years ago and it's still active, I'm sure you can still log in too.

As Rennaj, yes I did a few, most pleasing to me was the Xmas, as I set it up and ran it all on my own. A very kind dev supplied me with the rewards, but placing all the bags with carrots in was down to me, with 5 minutes to go , I got a tells saying I have picked up over 50 bags with carrots in, mad dash to get them and replace, again all on my own so you the players had something special for Xmas. But I still fail to see why you have to brand every one in GM/Dev with this stupid red post, you say you have a beef with one, take it up with that one, and leave the rest alone to like you should be, enjoying game and the warm feeling of getting a good response to your [and others] hard work in what you did.

No, Janner, I didn't ask for help, but if it makes you happy, let me make it clear (again):

This post was written with 0 help from the GM or Dev teams and no GM or Dev was harmed during the writing of this post.
No guild or forum moderator names have been mentioned by me in this post either.
Unfortunately, you force me to mention Dev and GM names by trolling our event thread.
You are using the wrong quote, One I posted Starts with this, THIS EVENT.

This does not answer the question, again you used it to kick GM Devs in teeth, is only explanation I can think of.
Let me point out to YOU it was given to you and set up by GM Devs, so every time you use it you are on the one hand saying thank you, then kicking them, so I can only assume you hate them for giving you this opportunity to show the community how you can perform.
Also would like to point out to you that this childish form of bashing is only doing your events posts no good at all.
I agree that if it is in opening reply, then it is on topic, if you do not want it talked about do not post it. BUT I think you did, so I am asking why?
SO in conclusion if you hate them that much relinquish the claim to the den, and give others a chance at running it.

THIS POST Just so I am clear.
I did not ask any GM or Dev for help in posting it.

SO my question about your Post in red above. is the same, did you ask for help ?

If not then why post the above ?

How do  turn this off so that the game visually runs when i leave the window?

Did you try this?

-The client pauses when it looses focus. Essentially, if you want the client to keep running also when the window does not have focus, you need to open the file psclient.cfg in a text editor, and add the following line at the end of it:
System.RunWhenNotFocused = true

This is from Mac part of forum.

Well I hope you are not moaning about players like Janner and helpful sorts that go in there to help new by healing them, so they can get what they need faster and safer.

General Discussion / Re: Thoughts on train armour/weapons.
« on: April 24, 2008, 02:45:06 am »
Some good points, however when you buy the item, would you not ask about the pros and cons,  before buying ? there for no training would be needed, as you would use agility and your weapon training in combination to defend the areas of weakness. Also when body development is in, this too would be of use in this, just seams silly the amount of training you do to get a high level, when all you need to know is were the weak spots are in the armour.

General Discussion / Thoughts on train armour/weapons.
« on: April 23, 2008, 01:06:57 am »
Been trying to figure out why you need to train armour?
If no training at all, 1 hit from a rogue will kill you, yet if you have say 10, at best it will scratch you. Now do not know how you think about this, but armour is same, for both yet does not protect same, now why is this?
We have repair armour, so I think this should determine how well you are defended.

Now lets think about repair weapons. Do not know about you but in real life I would use a wet stone to sharpen my kitchen knifes or garden tools. I have had one for years, it still will out live me, so why do we have to by over and over repair kits?

Complaint Department / Re: bad memory = uncompletable quests
« on: April 17, 2008, 12:07:51 am »
I do not see why so many are having problems, I have over time completed 160 quests, ONLY 1 I had to ask a GM for help, and that was because item needed had changed, so do try to figure them out and do all posable things to get them completed before posting here in forums.

Note from GM Rennaj. I have talked many of you through quests you claim to be stuck on, most of you have gone on to complete them, remember quests change so forget your list a lot of you are doing quests from, and do them as you are meant to, on your own, at end of day you are only cheating yourself by following a list.
