Try switching the "vertex buffer" to "on" in the PS-setup. Worked fine for me, no more "summon-missile-crashes"  \\o//

Can anybody tell me what the quality of molten steel, steel stock or similar products depends on? Is it only the metallurgy level? I spent much time today melting steel and casting stocks and there way a great variance in the quality (between 2/2 and 9/9).

Another problem was the stacking of the finished stocks in the inventory. First: i can only stack steel stock in the inventory, that was made during the same session. If i already put 5 finished stocks in the inventory, log out and back in again, i cannot put any more stock in the same field. Second: If i stack steel stock which are different in quality, the quality off all stock in that inventory field is somehow changed. If i first put a 9/9 stock into a field, and then a 7/7 stock, i end up with 2 stocks each with a quality of 8/9 (the first number always changes to the average quality of all stocks that i put in the inventory field, whereas the second number always stays the same as the quality that the first stock in the field had). Is this intentional, is there a reason behind this?

What i experienced with the furnace today was, that i get experience points in metallurgy for:

- casting iron stock
- casting steel stock
- melting steel stock

My level in metallurgy was 6, dont know if this has any influence...

You might try searching on http://www.simplemachines.org/ to see if anybody else has similar issues with the forum software. 

I searched, but i couldnt find a solution that worked for me. Tried deleting the cookies as suggested there, but i still have the same problem.

I also thought that furnace and stock casting worked. But today i noticed, that i didnt get any practice points for melting iron or casting stock. Also, when i wanted to melt the iron ingots in the furnace, the ingots turned into piles of dust after some time, without ever turning into molten iron before.

Well, im not native english, but afaik one says "i have 100 dollars" to indicate that he has 100 1-dollar-units (um...sounds dull...). Whereas "i have 100 dollar" just means the same amount of money in any denomination (?).

So "100 trias" are just 100 of those little triangular thingies,
and "100 tria" is worth 100 trias, but can consist of hexas and/or octas.

Hope you know what i mean...
just correct me if i am wrong

It's nice to have a problem solved out in public - that way everyone else won't be left in the dark if they run into a similar issue.

sorry  :-\ ...just wanted to avoid giving out quest hints on the public boards. Thought ppl dont like that...
