Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / Duel monitor, one for ps and one for windows

I have set up duel monitors (one monitor plus a projector for ps) and am get some lag when I play ps, am I right in thinking im gona need more ram and a faster gfx card?

current setup:

P4 2Ghz
2x 512MB DDR266 PC2100 MEMORY (1 gig)
128 Mb GeForce FX 5200
