.run file

i downloaded the linux file from planeshift.it so now i have a file called PlaneShift[...].x86.run in a directory of my choice. By double clikking on it nothing happens so what am i supposed to do?

You don\'t know the basics of linux, do you? Well, let me quote myself:

so it would be
# cd /[dir with the .run file]
# chmod +x [file of planeshift]
right?

i managed but now i have another error. I install the game, update all the files and then do pssetup. When i do \"launch\" it startes and a bar at the bottom of the screen loades but when it reaches the end nothing happens.

Some more information like the console output would be fine to locate the problem.
