"Advice session timed out" too early
« on: October 16, 2005, 09:06:21 am »
Not really a bug - but quite annoying:

When I try to advise a user, and it takes much time for him to look up settings or follow instructions, it is possible that the last answer from the user appears only a few seconds before the acvice sessions times out. I have no chance to tell him my next advice because the session timed out - it is not reset on his last answer.

My only walk-around: I \"/tell\" him my last answer. But this way, the advisor is not anonymous anymore.

it runs out after a certain time...

the whole anonymous thing isnt that big a deal...

and i think it is reset on answers otherwise advice session would all be real short... and they are not ive gone through enough to know that. but borrillis was working on that a while back...
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

Indeed, it is expanded - but probably only if I can answer just in time. Not on the next user question.
