Aleatory crash give a wrong answer to a quest.

Hello, another time I talk about a some problems after a Crash. I will post the logs so I can explain it better

I was doing a quest, Vresa's Sword, after talking with Harnquist, send to speak with Barrin Dhorod and tell to him "Harnquist send me...".

(21:52:40) [NPC] Harnquist says: There is one person that may have such a blade.
(21:52:44) [NPC] Harnquist says: Barrin Dhorod.
(21:52:47) [NPC] Harnquist says: Ask him about the experimental blade; he will know.
(21:52:52) [NPC] Harnquist says: Also I need you to bring me fifteen lumps of coal when you return with the blade!

While I was speaking with Barrin Dhorod the system crash.
After the Crash the game choose and answer for me.
I open a petition but the response is not going to solve the problem. I don't know if this quest is very important, but this can happen again.

I think it has no sense. Maybe I miss translated something... I don' know.

Since the last update we found a bug, a conflict between KAs and quests responses. We're looking for a way to fix it.

Is possible to reset the quest status until the changes can be done?
I was talking in game with a player and seems that this is important for my style of playing     . They tell me I will need the reward and there is no other way to obtain it.

This is probably possible. File a "Petition" in game, so a Game Master can talk with you about it.

The KA bug is responsible for you getting "Barrin Dhorod says: I don't understand you, sorry." when you told him Harnquist, but nothing else. It looks like when you logged in <11 seconds after the crash you triggered the other menu which then pushed you down the un-optimal ending path. Which it also appears you went all the way down to the ending of the quest instead of stopping. This seems to be more user error than a game bug. And unless the bug can be duplicated the policy is not to correct it. The only thing you will missout on are a few faction points and some tria, nothing important.

Well sometimes happens in some quest, that just when you click on the answer, something goes wrong in your pc and then give an answer apparently not according to what you want your character to obtain, or want to make points with certain faction but your pc problems or failure your client appears to select other things manually or answer wrongly, in some cases, when the correct answer does not appear; that would not make sense according to what you want your character; I click "bye" and I attempted several times until I get the answer I want, but when you can not, well the question is a game and you have to enjoy it, but you can enjoy it does not make sense

As already suggested: Create a petition in game; or try to contact a GM in the IRC channel #planeshift-gmtalk in the Freenode network. If the issue is recreatable, check if a bug in the bugtracker already exists or has to be created.

Since there are many "quest chains" now, there is hardly any unimportant quest anymore. Most quests depend on each other, most are unique (not to be discarded). Resetting a quest step or even a whole quest by a GM may be required to fix issues, they will know better.
