I have spent the last week playing with MakeHuman and Blender for an event post picture. What fun!

I remember seeing someone's animation using ps character models imported into blender.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of these? eg a kran or a Menki

Linux Specific Issues / Having trouble installing

I'm trying to install ps 64bit on Linux Mint 11 64bit.

lspci gives this for graphics card:

I have the proprietary ati FGLRX graphics driver installed.

After install, when i run psclient from a shell I get the following error:

Linux Specific Issues / Error on startup: Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 731: _dl_close

I recently upgraded from Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.04. When I tried to start up PS I got this error:

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 731: _dl_close: Assertion `map->l_init_called' failed!

After a bit of digging around and googling I found that is was something to do with the openal sound.

After further playing around and a bit of luck, I uninstalled libopenal1 and it went away.

Seeing as 10.04 will be released in a few days, this may crop up in other peoples Kubuntu computers.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Crystal Way Magic : Cleanse & Purification Spells

The two Crystal Way spells Cleanse and Purification, realm 4 & 5 respectively give the following descriptions:

Cleanse: "The target is washed from magic from the crystal"

Purification: "Everything in range is washed clean with magic from the crystal"


Anyone have any idea what is cleansed and what is not. I assume they do not just refer to dishes XD. Would poison be cleansed or disease for example? Would it effect a person or a potion?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Bronze Doors crash anyone?

Client crashed just as I was entering the BD fortress. Now when I restart I get to see about .5 of a second my character before it crashes again.

Anyone else managed to navigate the BD ok?

Linux Specific Issues / Client Help

I'm running a Linux x64 box. I was running .4 version of the client this morning but when I tried to log in it said I needed to update. I did that but nothing updated. I read that the server is being updated for .5, so, I installed .5 and ran that. Still I get a message telling me to update. I've looked in the /opt/Planeshift folder and there is no update script. Looking round the PS sight I cant find one for .5. Am I blind or is there something else I should be doing?
