standard bearer

(wiki description)
A standard-bearer is a person (soldier or civilian) who bears an emblem called an ensign or standard, i.e. either a type of flag or an inflexible but mobile image, which is used (and often honored) as a formal, visual symbol of a state, prince, military unit, etc.

i think this would make a good addition .
they could either be symbols or pictures of there gods (for RP holy wars )
it could boost stamina for all in the party while hes alive but as he would be holding it he wouldn't be able to attack.
even custom uploaded images for each guild could be worked into it like some other mmos (rude ones would cause a perm ban)

just an idea to make guilds a little more like army's

as far as I'm aware nobody has suggested this and it would still fit with the medieval style of the game

may the goddess dakkru be with you

Not sure but i think it was sugested.
Still.Personaly i do not agree with the no attack notion.Ive actualy seen real war banners.They were big enough to go above a man but were manegable with only one hand.And im not all that muscular.
Banners boost morale morale inspires to fight so i guess it could increase weapon skills a bit as well.
Oh yeah this was sugested as in having emblems on armors and shields and capes when we get those.
If I stand on the axis of the world will you mind if I say that the world revolves around me ?

More than likely there won't be any RP holy wars.

:::EDIT:::

There are already "RP holy wars" in PlaneShift -- Dakkru vs Black Flame and vice versa, Black Flame vs Talad etc and it's all part of the setting.

I thought only the Black Flame's followers were supposed to know about it...
