Talite is an ex slave and was freed by Bartholin and they became friends, and then soon after they got close one night. In the morning they were married...
due to many attempts on his wife's life, bartholin ran into many people that knew of the dark arts and fought much. One day, his wife went missing and hadnt returned for 3 days. He was soon given a letter that his wife was kidnapped and embarked on a jounry to safe her from her holders. Blood and death followed and after almost 2 days he rescued her from the kidnappers. The next day she turned up missing again, fearing the worst he collected his friends and contacts and searched for her. Along the way to akkio he was given another letter this one read that his wifes mind was erased and that all memoris of him were removed from her, he knew of only one person that had a grudge strong enough and the knowledge of the dark ways to do such a thing. He ran his fastest to akkio and ran into her, a fenki named Fithile that had relations with his wife just prior to him removing her from the picture. After a short time of exchanging threats his wife appeared, a fenki name Talite that he loved very much. She came to her masters side and drew a dagger agaisnt her husband. Bartholin nearly heart broken retreated and planned a way to save his beloved wife.
A week later he recieved information that the two seperated for the day and his wife was heading to hydlaa for some items for a potion and the lazy fenki Fithile stayed in akkio waiting on her servent. Bartholin quickly hurried to Akkio and fought the evil fenki, but not before Talite arrived with the items. As fithile layed wounded by Bartholin's blades she started to cast one last spell. Bartholin quickly shoved Talite out of the way and was hit by the spell. Thankfully his armor was made with silver threads in the metal to help protect against such evil ways, but Bartholin was injured.
When Bartholin woke that night he saw the still, dead, lifless body of fithile, and with it he saw a glyph of unknown origin in her hand. He got up and grabbed it puttin it in his pocket, took one last look at his dead foe and gave her one last kick in the chest.
Bartholin consulted with many of his contacts asking the were abouts of his wife, and of any information that might be had about the unknown glyph. A few months pasted with out much gain, untill he asked a newcommer to the land about his glyph who told him of many things that the glyph did, and of its powers. He also told him of a way to get his wife back, but at a terrible cost to his life IF he truly loved her.
As bartholin walked along the akkio road, one of his old friends asked about his wife and why she was a slave to a master. After some discussion and chatter, he again when to the accurssed city of akkio, and found his wife huddled in rags inside a abandoned building. He sat at the tavern and thought about what he was going to do, all the time thinking of the price that he would have to pay if he used the spell.
He was told that the spell would give the the caster complete controll over the target and that an addtional affect would be that when the user died, the target would be tortured untill they whet insane, or killed themselfs. The spell leaves a mark on the victom that looks like nothing you can describe, a mark of death if you will, for who ever used this spell or was affected by the spell would die, or so the stories go...
Bartholin made up his mind and found Talite out, he also contacted her master whom was her master before she met him. He exchanged words with her master and bought her from him in order to prevent anyone from abusing his wife like a slave. Talite had no memeries of Bartholin and when she heard that Bartholin had bought her, threatened him, and made attacks on him. So to play the part of a slaver Bartholin cast the cursed spell on her, and made her obediant so that she could be saved from something more toruruse then what she would face being a slave.
Summary to shorten reading -
then she gets her memery back from Fithile, she having returned from dr and loving ever second of the news about Bartholin and Talite. Talite ran off for a week or so and fithile disappeared. Some time later they met up and talked about what went on and all was forgiven by Talite, thought Bartholin still hated what he did to her and decided that he had to correct it. Bartholin figures a way to remove the mark from Talite but the price of removing the mark is being sent away to the abyss (not dr) in which you cant return and you will forever be in againy. Bartholin buys some elixars from levrus that will help him become strong. The elixar is a potion that is thick and black (like tar) and smells like rotting corspes in the sun. The potions come in a flask that has a symbole ingraved into it. The potion weakens the connection of the drinker to the world and thus weakens the affects of the mark spell. But will weaken the drinker to the point of not even beable to walk much less fight.

Some time later Bartholin made his first attempt at removing the mark from his wife, but due to his weakend stat he couldnt complete it.. but managed to weaken the mark's hold on the body of his wife.
The second time he tried to remove the mark, he stopped drinking the elixars and was strong enought o remove the mark, but in doing so, sealed his fate. {being sent to the abyss at the point the crystals energy is at its strongest the end of its cycle.{like the phases of the moon}
Bartholin could feel the affects of the mark eating away his energy and after a night with Talite he decided that instead of doing nothing about it, that he would stop the effect and live with talite just like she wanted. So that night after being with Talite in the library with in the death realm, Bartholin looked around at some of the old texts with in the old building as Talite sleept. After some time of looking around the book keeper come over to him and handed him a book and then left without saying a word. Bartholin opend the text at a marked page and on that page he saw the mark that was now burnt into his flesh. The book was in a form he could read and decided to have it translated by a friend that might know such things.

} dies and is sent to the abyss (in the b/g story).
A translation of the list needed to make the potion will be posted as soon as it is done. (cant give you a flat out list.. like go find 3 ulber claws ^^ )
