Title: Fanart of the Divines
Post by: Skeletonbane on April 13, 2015, 06:08:29 pm
I'm going to be posting some CG renders of the gods and goddesses of Yliakum. Note that I'm using makehuman (http://www.makehuman.org/) for the body models, so these aren't an accurate representation of my skill.

I'll give you three guesses who this is, and the first two don't count. :P

Very nice, this still demonstrates some nice skill imo. Better than I can do even with makehuman.

Thank you. What I meant was it wasn't a very accurate representation of my modelling skill. I still needed to set up the lighting, tinker with the materials, run the cloth simulation, and texture the robes and mask. The only things I modeled were the robes, mask, and staff.

Yeah, makehuman is a nice project.
The only things I modeled were the robes, mask, and staff.
And hey, they turned out very nice.  \\o//
I am very curious what concepts you will have for the other gods, as there is hardly any official art for reference.

I'm working on Talad next, and am trying to figure out where to have him. Any suggestions for what location i should have a screenshot of in the background?

Gugrontid temple please :)

Based on a unanimous vote, Talad will be featured in the temple in Gugrontid. At least, I think that's what I took a screenshot of, it's hard to tell. The kran in there was a priest of Talad though, so hopefully I got it right.

Render soon to follow.

Literally my first character to have hair. Couldn't figure out how to make it curly, but I don't think it came out too bad.

Great work! Keep them coming! I would love to see a pre-masked Laanx, less angry Goddess with her sibling, before the relationship got complicated. :)

Well if we're going with gods and goddesses....

How about that bronzed Enki Wulfar, posing in front of his temple, Kada-El's?

=D

But fro real, that's some good work. I like that you are managing to put the details of the background in there on a pretty good level also, particularly the Laanx one. Keep up the good work. Props on the first time hair as well, it turned out pretty good.

I didn't place any details in the background, they're just screenshots. Unless you mean how I positioned them and what I framed in the image.
