Think he was just reiterating that the Magic game is more recent and our use predates it.

So, probably nothing will ever happen because this PlaneShift doesn't take money from anyone and if they were silly enough to sue us, they risk losing their right to use it, as our Italians clearly used it first.

There are the following monsters available that I have seen:

1 - Rat
2, 3 & 4 - Rogue/ Brigand/ Thug
5 - Tefusang
6 - Consumer
7 - Carcass (by the way, I would love to send a  :thumbup: to the designer because it's my favourite one :) )
8 - Ulbernaut
9, 10, 11 & 12- Gladiator, Mercenary, Bandit, Fanatic
13 - Gobble
14 - Trepor

Looks like you have at least a couple more places to explore. :)

PNG almost always compresses lower than GIF or high quality JPEG.  Either you've been misinformed, or you're basing your claim solely on PlaneShift PNGs which haven't been compressed, or both.

I don't know a lot about it, but it seems unlikely you'd need that...anyways, app-crypt/mit-krb5 should give it to you.

Of course...0.3.013 is old now, so you might download the latest client 0.3.014b and try it first.

During character creation, Charisma is important if you want to start with higher levels for various skills - Crystal Way among them.

Can't you just turn the smileys into .pngs and the white stuff will be invisible? The detective one, and the sweat drip both seem to be like this already, but I think they're .gifs. I know .pngs are a bit bigger, but I don't think the increased size should be too much trouble. Then again, the increased size might shoot bandwith for the server up a bit, even if it is 5kb at a time.
You don't need to make the white stuff invisible, just need to make it dark instead of light.  In such a case PNG would compress smaller than GIF, but even if you did go the invisible route with alpha transparency, the size would still be trivial.  Animated PNG support is almost nonexistent, though, so the couple animated ones would basically still need to be GIF.

Either way, the issue is doing the work, which would be rather boring. :p  I started on it, but I figured it'd be more worth my time to work on PS-themed ones (not that I started on that, either - yay lazyness :p).
