Welcome one and all
To my tale, which, though not tall,
Shall no doubt interest those at the ball,
And maybe encore you shall call.
Today I met a lovely lady,
Dressed like princess in tale fairy,
for she indeed was verily,
A princess among us all.
Not knowing such I asked
Where one might find repast,
And, so I should not fast,
She answered graciously.
It was then she told me of her nature
And I, curtsying with pale feature,
Acknowledged her finery and culture
And implored "please don't smite me".
To which she answered verily,
"No harm done to me or thee,
For you it was not done knowingly,
And you were not ungracious."
"My thanks, my lady," I cried outloud
For I had feard drawing the crowd
To witness me aqiering deaths shroud
Upon some gibbit or other.
Finaly she did me ask
That I revisit her if I must
For dire need or sweet repast
she would deign to help me.
Acting upon this request
I did say, "Yes, yes, yes!
I whould love to be your guest.
Most gracious lady be.
And so I did take my leave then
Clucking with joy like mother hen
For none could me sad just when
My lady talked to me.
Ooc: Yes, guy playing girl, I know. I'm not an irresponsible RPer, however. My character is Phylis Demesher and She was invited to join this wonderfull guild. I am looking forwards to seeing how this might lead. Anyway, just posting here to say I am interested wholehartedly and have read the thread so far. I shall keep observing, obviously, and shall revisit the princess as soon as I can conveniently.
Edit: Just to clarify, the poem details my first meeting with "My Lady".
