Not true Neko, this isn't over until the 16th.  Until then, I intend to have as much fun as possible with these people.

Here is vannaka's brief encounter with a rather obvious troll... (i think its like kamoc or sumthin... that one that pretends ppl are npc's)
I've edited out all the unrelated chat due to its length, and added a few things like <this> to explain what was happening that chat doesn't explain on its own.  Enjoy.

(19:58:24) Seenor says: give me a quest
(19:58:37) Vannaka says: I have a quest for ye
(19:58:44) Seenor says: what
(19:58:55) Vannaka says: Go run about the city... and do somthing awful
(19:59:10) Vannaka says: Then Kill yourself
((19:59:55) Seenor says: what do you want me to do
((20:00:08) Seenor says: ?
(20:00:11) Vannaka says: I want you to kill yourself, and find a better use of your time
(20:00:21) Vannaka says: You seem the type of person who has nothing better to do
(20:00:21) Seenor says: um...dude your playing this game too
(20:00:29) Seenor says: so don't talk
(20:00:40) Vannaka says: [talking about trolling tard]
(20:01:06) Seenor says: dude
(20:01:10) Seenor says: im an elf
(20:01:11) Vannaka says: What?
(20:01:15) Seenor says: not a troll
(20:01:24) Vannaka says: [that was OOC]
(20:01:28) Vannaka says: [you know what i mean]
(20:01:35) Seenor says: no i dont
(20:01:39) Seenor says: tell me
(20:01:49) Vannaka says: I'll show you
(20:07:49) >Vannaka Touchstone waves at Seenor Mccheesee
(20:09:30) Seenor says: abelia sent me
(20:09:30) Vannaka says: So have you found a quest yet?
(20:09:38) Vannaka says: Oh did she?
(20:09:43) Seenor says: yes
(20:09:52) Vannaka says: And what is it that abelia sent you for?
(20:09:58) Seenor says: for the lulz
(20:10:20) Vannaka says: Oh, in that case i have a few simple instructions for you
(20:10:36) Vannaka says: Head down near harnquist's
<ps crashed... lol.... upon my return: >
(20:12:04) Vannaka says: [sorry, i had a program error]
(20:12:13) Vannaka says: would you like me to lead you to the lulz, sir?
(20:12:16) Seenor says: how farest thou
((20:12:37) Seenor says: what is lulz, my dearest friend?
(20:12:55) Vannaka says: Abelia wants them, 'tis your quest
(20:13:07) Seenor says: oh
(20:13:22) Seenor says: where is this lulz at, Sir Vanneka
(20:13:26) Vannaka says: Would you like me to take you, sir dermorian?
(20:13:34) Seenor says: why, surely
(20:13:40) Vannaka says: Please, follow me
(20:14:50) Theive says: Vannaka can you take me to the lulz?
(20:15:13) Vannaka says: Of course, i'm already headed that way
(20:15:57) Vannaka says: Are you coming sir?
(20:16:09) Seenor says: what shall i behest upon thee?
(20:16:28) Vannaka says: We can discuss that later, for now we should just find the lulz
(20:17:37) Seenor says: how farest art thou lulz
(20:18:05) Seenor says: answer me, knave!                                              <------------          <he's talking to a dead dlayo>
(20:18:08) Vannaka says: don't worry, that one has died, but there are more inside
(20:18:24) Theive says: [they respawn in here]
(20:18:35) Theive says: are we getting the quest from it?
(20:19:23) Theive says: [you have to tell the npc " i hate you right'?]
(20:19:58) Vannaka says: this is the lulz pit
(20:20:19) Vannaka says: Talk to the lulz with the large hammer, he can help you
(20:20:19) Theive says: are they save Vannaka ?
<Vannaka changes to a bloody stance>
(20:20:31) Seenor says: foul knave, you betray me!
<Seenor has been Killed by Vannaka>
(20:20:43) Vannaka says: lulz
(20:20:47) >Vannaka Touchstone lets out a hearty laugh!
((20:21:15) Theive gives Vannaka a high five
(20:21:20) Vannaka says: [haha, that was great]

Haha! That was a good one Vannaka. Wish I could find the quest to search for the lulz.

Thought I would mention that this thread has successfully made it into Khad's review, and he has even given us avatars.  Also I know this isn't really news but Khad still has no idea what IRC is.

What I really don't understand is how he can say that the game "sucked so much ass" and also claim that terms like "epic fail" and "we owned you" are off limits.  Khad has really discredited himself on this one; seriously I was expecting something more funny.

Hehe, they actually believe that all Planeshift players look like that? Well looks like they need to do a little research themselves.

Huh, I thought it was kinda funny... it = the trolling, overreactions, trolling of the trolls, self-humiliation, etc. Khad's right about this being a lame game, though. It does suck. But that leaves room for improvement (and epic lulz, AKA this), right?

Apparently, Khad considers everything up for a hearty slagging except SA.  ;)

The stereotypical "avatars" bit was a nice attempt at snaching a win from the gaping jaws of fail. (I admit, the one he used for UtM made me chuckle. Mine, on the other hand, was so utterly ironic that Khad quickly had me once again laughing at him instead of with him.) Too little, too late, I'm afraid.

:P

I read some of his other reviews. I feel cheated. Some games saw incredible trolling. We could have gotten something brilliant, something amusing. Now the only amusing thing here is how pathetic the attempt was made, how whiny the article is, relying on all of the information gathered by 2 trolls, one of which had a good time. Maybe, some day, we might get a revisit if we just hope hard enough...

Neko, don't worry, this won't be hard to move past, since nothing really happened. If anything, we gained a player!

Thought I would post my Kamoc log here, Kamoc is Ledrye after he got renamed from Toyboat Toyboat and right before he took the screenshot of himself (that is now in the review).  This happened on August 2nd and he had just walked into Kada-El's Tavern, and I knew this was from Something Awful long before he exited the tutorial world (the name Toyboat gave it away).

Quote
>Tuxide Mudslayer looks curious.
Tuxide says: May I hope you?
Ledrye says: yes
Ledrye says: abeila sent me
Ledrye says: give me QUEST
Tuxide says: sorry, don't know her.
Ledrye says: help
>Tuxide Mudslayer looks around, confused.
Ledrye says: anyone know what do say to this npc?
Tuxide says: [not an MPC]
Tuxide says: [*NPC]
Ledrye says: Tuxide Mudslayer?
Ledrye says: Hello.
>Broden Frett greets everyone.
Ledrye says: GIVE ME QUEST
>Tuxide Mudslayer looks curious.
Tuxide says: Hrm...you want a quest, huh?
Ledrye says: yes
>Tuxide Mudslayer looks curious.
Tuxide says: I need uhmm...
Tuxide says: ...a beeer.
Tuxide says: Go buy me a beer.
Ledrye says: how to buy BEER
>Tuxide Mudslayer raises an arm and points towards Allelia Symiestra.
Broden says: Allelia might give you a quest {she is an NPC, Tuxide is a player}
Broden shakes his head at Tuxide
>Ledrye gave Tuxide a Beer Mug.
Tuxide says: There. Now go buy me another beer.
Ledrye says: oh my god this game is stupid
>Tuxide Mudslayer grins impishly.
Broden stares in disbelief
Tuxide says: Oh, nice.
>Ledrye gave Tuxide a Bread.
>Tuxide gave Ledrye 10 Tria.
Tuxide says: A loaf of bread.
Ledrye says: haha the npc's can't tell the difference between bread and beer
Ledrye says: HOLY CRAP THEY CAN
Broden says: Please do not show weapons in the tavern sirs
Tuxide says: I think i'll take my knife out and cut this loaf of bread up.
Tuxide says: Into slices.
Ledrye says: how to GET GOOD AND DRUNK
Tuxide says: Hrm...
>Tuxide Mudslayer raises an arm and points towards Allelia Symiestra.
>Ledrye Seraro takes a seat.
Tuxide says: ...well?
>Ledrye Seraro stands up.
Ledrye says: how to USE ITEM
Tuxide says: I guess if you want to use a beer, you first have to put it into your hand.
Ledrye says: how to USE BEER MUG
Tuxide says: Like this.
Tuxide shows his hand with his beer in it
Ledrye says: continue
Ledrye says: tell memore
Ledrye says: tell me more
Tuxide says: You know what's even better, if you have two beer mugs, you can hold two of them, one in each hand.
Ledrye says: good idea robot
Tuxide says: A great idea!
Ledrye says: great is good!
Ledrye says: tell me more
>Tuxide Mudslayer ponders the situation.
Tuxide says: If you want to get into a bar fight, all you have to do is use the /challenge command.
Tuxide says: \
Ledrye says: tell me more
Tuxide says: And then...uhmm, choose your attack stance.
Tuxide says: Hahaha, you're too weak.
Ledrye says: Tell me more.
Tuxide says: Yeah sure, you're weak.
>Tuxide Mudslayer laughs heartily at Ledrye Seraro.
Ledrye says: TELL ME MORE
Tuxide says: Why should I?
>Tuxide Mudslayer grins at Ledrye Seraro impishly.
>Ledrye Seraro takes a seat.

I had the option of killing him before he took that screenshot but I chose not to and went fully defensive instead.  Soon after he signed off, I was told by a GM that I should've punched the guy in the face.

As I said before, I'm also the NPC who knows how to use IRC, but sadly I don't think Kamoc ever figured that out when we were together on the SynIRC channel.  Also, I have news on this part:

Heck, I don't think Khad even knows this IRC channel exists.  I don't even think Khad knows what IRC is.

Apparently his mom came into his basement and taught him how to log into his own IRC channel soon after I posted this, but she didn't get as far as to show him how to op himself.  Anyways, Khad did sign into his #mmoroulette channel on SynIRC, and he spoke with us for about a half hour about tutorial world, Lowtax, and how serious his review is, and then he left.  He said this was the most active his channel has ever been.

Ok then, people, it's been fun, but I'm going to lock this thread now. We've had our fun I think, and their's no sense in keeping a thread open that promotes the hating of another group of people, imho.

For those still interested in this epic waste of everyone's time, here is SA's article for PlaneShift

http://www.somethingawful.com/d/mmo-roulette/planeshift.php?page=1

Thanks to all PS members who put up with the SA trolls, and thanks to SA for giving us a few laughs and then reviewing the game with a completely messed up point of reference. You could not have done any worse, really.

Lets forgive and pretend like we forget  :)
