like nonalcoholic drinks: they're named as nonalcoholic ale etc. but they're not ales, rather trying to imitate one.
Maybe someone who's attempted homebrew could chime in here, but i think the class of beverage, vis–à–vis ‘ale’ or ‘lager’ or ‘beer’
et al., descibes the method of brewing and does not actually — leastways not in traditional vernacular — require that it contain alcohol. The alcohols are, of course, a product of fermentation, but methinks they can be evaporated or expunged and the beverage maintain its status of ‘ale’ or whatever.
BTW, what are the ingredients of
- Kran Ale and
- Kran Liquor ?
