Ok I am trying to submit stuff that I think should possibly be in the game lol so heres an attack claw (one handed, so you can hold two) maybe if i can ill try to texture it

well it looks good..But i always think \'attack claws\' like that should be connected to hand and wrist. Cause if its only carried in hand its not that hmmzz... stable.

and these are points, they point forward, a claw is nails so point downwards. With this weapon you can stab but not slash.
Nice idea, but the name is not right ;) Id like to see a texture

Ok let me clear this up a bit. I should have been more clear in my first post.
Ok my idea was this was the cheapest weapon for let\'s say a low level character (in other words a newbie) this would cost a max of 50 rubies etc., etc. As staed above a \"claw\" has points poinint down and are attacked to the wrist, this is more of a double bladed dagger if that helps clear it up any...

While designing weapons, it helps to have read the setting... Trust me, it may seem irrelvant, but it helps you work the idea for a weapon into the world.
An example of where this would apply is your comment about price. In the setting it is stated that the currencies are trias, hexas, octas and circles. (Am I missing one?) Rubies/emmies/diamonds are just temporary, and trade will be conducted using the \"official\" currencies.

How many poly\'s is this? 200/250? For an object that is for 50% inside or very close around the fist +that\'s not bigger then 30cm it\'s very high poly. If I\'d make something this small I might not even model the handle, only the blades because ppl would never see it. Try to cut it down to 20/30 poly\'s.
It\'s still a very nice try though, but keep the polycount and visibility in mind.

Oh my god! Im so happy now :D
Ive been waiting for somebody to make claws for I dont know how long. Im going to use claws and I like these though I dont think they should be cheap :(. If anybody can buy them its no fun at all.
To add slashing damage to it you could round up the outer parts turning them into blades.
Maybe you could try making simple claws, like the ones wolverine has. Dunno if its easier, Im no good at making models. Anyway, good luck and keep it up ;)

Nah I like originality and personally prefer the claws you made, but I think it could be good training to try and make the \"classic ones\". Start with some easy ones and adjust the difficulty step by step ;)

Maybe it\'s just the angle, but they look huge... you\'d have to be pretty strong to weild those. 8o

how many polys are they ?
try to reduce the molycont on the bottom i d say , and mainly the one of the lace , also try to merge the handle with the claws themselves.
can you try to textures them with sutff like flames or so ?
for uvmapping in wings , i suggest you make saved selections sets before starting the uvmap, make one with the edges between the claws and the handlesand select an edge that goes from the bottom to the top of eatche claws , the goal is to imagine than you have like a big figue in paper and then you are trying to cut the paper along the edges in order to put the paper flat.
Once it s done click on unwap , select eges for cut , then unwrap , the editor will distord some of the faces in order to put the \"paper\" flat , if the distortion is too big for the texture to loook good , then cancel , and modify the selection set .
In the same idee if you need more resolution on some face, by cutting the \"paper\" diffrently you can get it. Also , once it s unwrapped , move and scale the maps in order to use the maximum of place , and scale the part wich need a lot of resolution very big.
I hope it helps , and like usualy us gimp2 to texture :))

I dont know how to map with Wings 3d I mean I can get it unwrapped but I cant save the flattened image err how do you save it lol
