Just a stupid opinion :

Isn\'t it dangerous to have such a big eye ? I mean, when a little comes in my I suffer, so how could that monster live with such a big eye ? Except that the drawing is great I suppose, in fact I don\'t know anything about drawing (I couldn\'t draw a dot) but it\'s nice !

In CB we trust :)

Whoa, go right ahead, iabit of info on it, it has no mouth it craws in corpses to absorb nuterints through its skin if it cathes a humanoid with intellegance ove the head it can posses him/her

Here it is... I know that the texture is a bit screwed up (no texture on the claws yet) and that the Wings built in rendering engine makes crapy shadows... but here it is, here my (stolen from Trianas) monster!

I must say that your monsters are either unoriginal and or lack functionality, I mean come on, an eye on legs? it cant eat, hold a weapon, and legs are too small to be of any use
and that thing that looks like a kwama forager with wings, whats it ment to do? wings are of no use to an animal of that build and shape and just like the first one it cant eat, hold a weapon, or do anything painfull
and the snake thing is pretty unoriginal, I suggest you think about what you create more and add a description to each monster or atleast tell us why its considered a \'monster\'

I don\'t find it difficult to call them \"monsters\", Syzerian. :) They are just that, infact. If they were native creatures of the lands of Yliakum, which were necessarily evolved for hunting and survival etc, I would call them animals.

I see monsters as being misfits, mutants looking neither furry nor particularly well equipped for normal life in any world. They are demonspawn, or summoned abominations, with the sole purpose of causing emotional grief and terror, or killing things in a very bloody way.

I would certainly be freaked out if I saw a spider the size of a large rat with a massive eye scuttling towards me across the floor. Especially a swarm of them.

Honestly, I was sorta doubting your art skills when I saw the first one.  But then I scrolled down to the snake and the skullpion and MY FAITH WAS RESTORED!  *beam of light shines down from nowhere*

Neat stuff.  And Klyaksa, nice render of the eye...type...thingy...  o.o;

Syzerian got a point that those creatures are lacking functionality. I mean as fantasy drawing they are alright. I hope though that in planeshift we will get some animals/creatures that at least look they could live somewhere in the world (and would survive longer than a few days)

As for functionality: Imagine the surrounding the creature will live in. Will it be on land or in water? Is it crawling around in woods or preferes rocky surface? Is it adept to darkness or does it need light? How does it survive (is it hunting for meat or is it eating plants or has it got clorophyll somewhere on its body?). How does it defend itself from enemys (like a hedgehog maybe? ;))

Ow an eye also needs some kind of brain to see :)

(We are probably to critical syzerian  :D)

Its legs are mostly used to grab hold of things ang abosrb nuetriants, yet they live hardly a day they are native to yilkum ,and  many belive that talad created them as a joke

Uses its wings not for launching itself onto its prey and attaching to it to leech the life out of it, it uses sonics to hear like a bat.

they are attracted to tresure usually droped by merchants and they attract them by speaking and drawing the closer

Skullpion

created by magic by some evil sorcerer far away they migrated to yilkum , and now reside moistly in laberynths  they eat mostly anything and they make a quiet skuttling noise as they run

Vampire bat that doesn\'t look like bat. It must be hard to fly accurately with that body... And you can just take grip of em and crush em too easily cause you instantly notice em.

Hai! Maybe I will. But I have to say I am not a good drawer but at least I can make creatures with purpose :F (Notice the word creature not monster :F)

I might draw some monsters to show how it should be done but I cant draw them with a pencil since my scanner is broken so I will have to use a keyboard and mouse which I am not too good at :(

Yeah. I wonder why all the scanners keep breaking. I had one for three months and it broke. I didn\'t even use it much. Gotta draw with my psp7.. or opencanvas.

Well anyway. Trianas. Good story first and then the drawings. All of those were -nice- but lacked usefulness.
