Please give us some details so we can help you. Start with your system specs. :)

If you have a very old card it would say that. Try runing it in safe mod.

Update your graphic drivers
Title: No hardware accelaration![]

I have the same problem as Ksharn, and I already updated the graphics driver. The specs of my PC are:

Intel pentium 4   1300 MHZ
128 MB ram
NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 MODEL64/MODEL64 PRO

On the other hand, when I tried to connect in the safe mode, I wait until a message apear mentioning an error of excess of time, I retried again and send another error.

I will appreciate all the help.

I don\'t even recognise that graphics card... :S

I know for sure that you don\'t have enough RAM though. 128mb could hardly run WinXP, let alone a memory hog like PS. I recommend anything above 512mb RAM.

TNT2 is from something like 98, really really crappy card.

Well, be sure you have the latest drivers from nVIDIA (something like 63). Because that message is due to the fact that it can\'t find any OpenGL in the drivers
Title: Same problem
Post by: Shadowfalcon on October 14, 2004, 09:03:21 pm
I have the same problem, but my hardware is pretty mainstream. I get the error when playing in OpenGL mode, with any compatibility mode.
My system specs: P3 Celeron @ 1300MHz, 512MB SDRAM, 64MB nVidia GeForce 4 MX 440 PCI, MicroStar 6368 MoBo with VIA chipset. Fresh install of WinXP Pro SP1, no other TSR\'s.
Any ideas?

Have you updated your video drivers? I have pretty much the same MX 440 card (accept AGP) in one of my boxes and I have no issues running it.

Yes, I did some major updating (SP2, shitloads of other driver updates, and the latest updates from nVidia).
It works well enough to walk around the town, but i still have lag when viewing areas with a higher poly count.

That\'s to be expected.  From what I hear CB will have a new rendering engine so this problem should be relieved somewhat.  My friend\'s box is running a similar card and he gets the same problem.  If I wasn\'t behind a nat I would check to see if I had the same problem also, \'cause my card is pretty much top of the line for now (6800 ultra) and if it has the same problem then it wouldn\'t be fixable.  *gets to work again trying to get an ssl tunnel going

Oh...and

Hi and welcom to PS

i have the geforce 4 mx 440 in my pc now, except mine is also agp and has 128mb. have you tried the star storm drivers? they come in quality/relighability versions and in my opinion dont screw your systme asmuch as nvidia\'s official drivers.

And please in the future refrain from swearing this is not the place :)
