Okay I love when there\'s lots of people playing on an MMORPG server. I mean the more people the more diverse. But there comes a time where a line should be drawn on what type of people should be playing PS. What I\'m trying to say is that I believe that after your done with the character creation, the game should ask you if your 13 years or older to play. I mean the little kids like 12 and under that play any online game nag and nag. I mean there\'s no real way to tell if someone is 13 or older but at least there\'s some kind of defense against little kids.

I mean, how many kids under 13 will be playing Ps?
I think this would be an annoying feature, how many kids under 13 that use the internet enough to play mmorpg\'s actually say they are under 13?
I really doubt some kid is going to go through all the trouble of downloading PS just to have it say \"you are under 13 you cannot play...\" Then they just lie & say they are 13...

Yes, I think Zeraph is right. The only ones it\'d stop would be the ones who are either too honest to lie (few) or too stupid to figure it out (wouldn\'t get this far anyway).

For a start, I do not believe that chronological age is always an accurate indicator of someone\'s level of maturity. This isn?t to say that maturity cannot be a function of age, but we have all met people who have surprised us. We have several members in the Explorers Guild who fall in that \"12 and under\" category, and they seem both mature and able to understand that \'childish\' behavior is unwanted.
You will be barring a lot of wonderful exceptions if such a rule will be made. A game is a game, no one should be discriminated against because of a number, which is all age is.

Well pfft this is one pointless feature because everyone knows if it requires you to be a certain age and your not..your still going to by pass it by giving the false answer or making up a different date of birth. I know tons of people who have done it and im sure you guys do to. If anything that will be put up just like the ratings on Television just for legal protection.
Plus this is a free 3-D MMORPG, the kids might not understand the MMORPG but they will always understand free games with nice graphics ^^

[Sorry, public computers are a pain.]

Kuiper, again, there\'s no way to prove it.
Don\'t you think I lied about my age when I was under 13?
I certainly did. No effort required.
I wasn\'t quite mature (thinking wise, not liking gross-stuff wise, I\'ve been annoyed by that for years) back then, but then again, I certainly was not an idiot.

I think this is the wrong way of doing it.
I think a better way would be to clearly point it out (in a notice on character registration, first login, startup or something in that direction) that this game is a Role Playing Game, and in no way a Hack\'n\'Slash. ...maybe then list some key reasons why a hack\'n\'slasher wouldn\'t like to play this kind of game in the first place.
Just my 0.01?
p.s. yea, I\'m back from the dead (amongst others)
