I think it would be nice to know what temperature is for RP purposes @ least. maybe not exactly an exact measurement, but like \"It\'s colder then usual\" or \"It is very hot today.\" something that would give you a guide to what your character is fealing...
But I really do not think it\'s a must have atm, something for when we have global, zone, or sub-zone-based temperature changes & glyph triggered temperature & weather/temperature changing spells like freeze & flame etc.
but however unrealistic everyone having a thermometer gage is it would be awsome...
Flamer Disclamer: (Do a search on \"Thermometer\" & you\'ll get this thread & \"Amazing Fact of the Day\" )

I like the ide but I would want an exact reading so we would know the temp in different areas.

Oooh, temperature could also influence fishing and stuff like that :) Obviously, it could also slow down running speed and stuff like that when it\'s too cold/hot and would determine how well you fight (plus resistances to spells). Some mobs would be \"used to\" living in cold habitats, but players would not necessarily be and could build up tolerances to extreme temperatures.
Also, why not have a little thermometer of a player\'s BODY? I dunno if illness and stuff like that will be incorporated into the game, but maybe spells and fighting abilities would change according to how well you treat your body (your health would be worse and temp would change if you swim too much or something).

ya, I was thinking that maybe you could buy a thermometer, but everyone should have a meter that tells them how hot or cold it is for your char, it\'s a way of knowing what your Char is feeling, you will know for sure. & also you may want to ware warmer or cooler cloths in certain places or for reasons like if monsters use allot of freeze spells then you can be almost immune to the effects if you ware warm enough cloths & can cast fire or something... temperature can effect almost everything in the game including weather Char fatigue etc...
