Us early find-outers about PS should all band together and make one huuuge extremely powerful and exclusive guild. It can be like the main guild of PS, one that when the game will be \"done\", people will envy and talk about. It would be known as the guild that was there before the game started. There\'ll be many of us from the start, and it would be like a thing of honor for us early worms. Thus far it can be open to anyone, anyone can join, even if you already have a guild. Anyone interested reply, also think up a cool name or something.

Guild that was there before the game?
I hate to break this to you but by your standards of \'before the game\' every guild here was created before the game, and much sooner than this one. So why would yours stand out for that reason?
And as far as I\'m concerned PS is a game now.
-
when i mean \"before the game\" I mean that when the \"full\" version is ready with many lands and everything in dev mind sofar. Obviously this is a game, but it would be more classified as a preview or demo.
This guild isnt something I had my heart on, i just thought it would be a cool idea. There can be a vast number of owners. Or it can be a combo of a bunch of already made guilds. I don\'t mean it to be a one person owned guild. Whatever, if you dont like it thats fine.
-
You do know that there will be 9580 people in it if the cut off day was today?
Itll never happen. also, there will be only one (important) guild. Helmora Velsha ;)
Also, this isnt really \"early\" planeshift anymore. Id consider the \"I cant wait till mb!\"times to be early.

What if someone doesn\'t want to join a guild? What if I want to freelance forever? Freelancers rock :D
And isn\'t there already a really large guild with a lot of crystal hunters? (sorry, I\'m really bad with names) Not to mention, I think it will be fun in 2 years to have several guilds walking around flouting their \"we were here before CB\" status symbol (even if I won\'t be joining any of them) in the midst of hundreds of newb guilds. :]

<.< >.> I know it\'s fine not to join a noob filled guild with a stupid reason of existence -.-.
No offense meant, it could be a good guild. Maybe in another game or at another time :P.
EDIT: Freelancers rock as much as npc\'s and monsters...
-
Hey, without NPC\'s and monsters what\'s left? I know you\'re being sarcastic, but in reality NPC\'s and monsters do rock. They\'re what make the game fun.

Blitzers...

Geez, im sorry. it was just an idea. i wont talk anymore...
-
Heya, no need to be like that Tapo, we\'re not telling you to shut up (at least I\'m not :P) just saying that we dislike your idea ^^.
@Arcane Falcon: Yup they\'re essencial, without freelancers some guilds couldn\'t mess with people without having other guilds on their back ^^. That doesn\'t make them rock though :P, just makes them necessary (like going to the doctor; it\'s necessary, but it doesn\'t rock :P).

hrm...isnt this suposed to be in wish list?..or maybe not..
anyway, i dont like the idea, because there would be too many people to manage, like efflixi said. and it would take out a lot of the conflict that is necessary(and rocks) without conflict, no guild wars, without guildwars, no fun.. unless you had civil guild wars..but thats not fun..

If you\'re talking about a group of pre-CB, respected players, it already exists. It\'s called the PS Community.
(Not talking about \"The Community\", Cadoras.)

There are some pretty big guilds right now, but that doesn\'t mean people will envy them or anything. Players will only have a chance to truly develop their guilds and characters once cb is out. And since most of the older members are well stablished in their guilds, no reason for a major swapping. And let\'s face it, there is no in-game reason for that guild existence. What would be it\'s alignment? It\'s purpose? See what I mean?
If you really want to be in a guild that people envy, why not join one that has a in-game purpose and work hard? Better yet, roleplay =)
There is The Mercenary Guild, if you want to roleplay a mercenary. There is the Mirth if you want to roleplay a good aligned character. There are many others, you just have to see what will fit better in what you want.
PS: Sorry for the poor english.

I think I\'d much rather see alliances between older guilds or much more mutual understanding between older guilds than an all out big oldbie guild. I can even see an Evil aligned guild (pre-CB) and a good aligned guild (pre-CB) forming an alliance to take out a dangerously big newbie guild.
The more guilds there are, the more interesting the political aspect of Planeshift is.
-
A guild that large wouldn\'t last very long, since a lot of the people here don\'t get along. As stated above, it\'s better to be in a small, powerfull guild (if power is what you want), and join with a few other guilds, forming a strong alliance.
EDIT: Freelancers rock as much as npc\'s and monsters...

this thread is extremely old... mods should find a way of getting rid of old threads quicker. Just close this one, mods.

They close them when they think they are dead...
I just noticed what Levski said...
I hope, so much that you are wrong...
If such an event did come to pass, I hope all the involved parties get flamed/kicked whatever is necessary...
You all go on an on about RP, and suggest two opposing alignments join, to defeat a big newbie guild.
1) This is suggesting superiority over newer players, something I always found laughable, and sad. (contradiction?) It is hardly a way to encourage new people.
2) This is completely and utterly... err (for lack of a better word) stupid! Opposing forces do not join up to take out a minor threat such as a new guild however how large. This is completely against character, why have an alignment if you don\'t use it.
