I just got Plane Shift and when i went to log in it got to \"initializeing world\" then an error message thing came up and said there was an error in \"engine.dll\" what do I do?
-
What are your system specs for your computer and are you trying to run in OpenGL or Software mode or have you tried both?
-
I\'ve tried both modes and they do the same thing, but what are system specs and how do I find out what ones i have?
-
Go to Start > Run and type \"dxdiag\" (no quotes). Hit enter.
In the new window, click Save Information, and choose a location to save the file at. Then open this file and copypaste the text into your next post.
-
are you sure you want me to paste all of it? It\'s really long...
-
I think it\'s fine to post everything up to the Sound devices bit. Anything underneath that isn\'t important. (as far as I can remember)

You there?

Yup I\'m here, try to avoid double posting. ;) Hmm... I\'ve never heard of this one before, so I can only suggest a few routine things. Firstly, I notice your graphics card drivers are at least 4 years old. Go to the manufacturer\'s website and see if they have newer ones available, and install them.
I also suggest that you grab the new run_me_first.bat file from these forums (there\'s an Important: thread for it in Technical Help) and check your .part files with it. If any are corrupt, redownload them, use the .bat file to create a new setup exe, and install the game again.
Maybe someone else can offer more help. I\'ve never been much of a techhead myself. :) Good luck.

Well not entirely sure because it looks like there are 2 diffrent versions of your graphics card that I have found, One of them is umm sort of OK and the other one is 8o bad. If you are using the older card I am wondering do you play any games at all with it? Also when was the last time you updated the drivers for your card? It doesn\'t even look like you have DirectX on your system at all which could also be causing some major issues. I would look into updating your video drivers and see if that helps.
Also you do not need to double post here. When someone has an answer for you they will answer it.

I am so confused... (sorry for double posting, I don\'t post in forums much) It sounds like my biggest problems are the DirectX thing and the Graphics thing. So first off, what exactly is DirectX/how do I get it and how do I make it so I\'m useing the graphics thing that is ok instead of the bad one which i think i may be using? (To answer your question, I used to play tibia, I sometimes play Diablo 2, and I tried Dungion Seige but it would always freeze when I got to a sertian point, probably cuz the graphics thing you were talking about.) Thanx for helping me :)

Just update your video card drivers and see if it fixes the problem first.
I think your drivers are HERE (http://www.muonline.in.th/download/driver/driver.htm) about half way down the page but I cant be 100% sure. If that isnt the drivers try running Windows Update or doing a Google search for the drivers.
