The Legend?s Guild

About Us:
The Legend?s Guild was founded October 28th and our webpage was released on October 29th.
This guild is basically a group of people that get to hang around. It\'s open to all players who use PlaneShift respectably. If you have any comments or suggestions, contact Nevarine in the PS server or morrowinder92@hotmail.com. We hope your stay in the guild is a fun one, and that you can enjoy our services that we have arranged specifically.
Also:
The group is centered as a good guild. You can practice \'dark\' termed arts, but you can\'t live them. This guild is a no-pressure guild, meaning you can leave at any time.
We\'re also debating the possibilities of a guild due (PS money; not the real cash).
Rules and Important Matters:
When recruited into the Legend\'s Guild, you MAY NOT use bad/crass language on guildchat exceeding \"crap\". You will be either A) fined by the guild (1 ruby for each person that is online), or B) recieve one black mark against your account. If you recieve 5 black marks, you will be banned for seven days and your title removed. you also MAY NOT use the guild for reasons to harm others or use the guild for your own large-scale benefit. In the forums, you MAY NOT use bad language, too. See above for information. Also, you MAY NOT lie about your rank. ( I would also like to add that when guild are disusing matters that they should always use /guildchat so as not to be overheard.)
Rank Requirements:
1. Recruit
a. Requirements: nothing really. all you need to do is join in for this rank!
2. Novice
a. Requirements: There is a certain introduction headed by the current guildmaster that is needed to proceed to this rank. Once you are done you get promoted.
3. Swordsman
a. Requirements: There are two ways to get promoted from now on. You can A) recruit new members, or B) show the guildmaster a really cool place that he hasn\'t seen before and can be used for some purpose in the guild. The requirements for this rank is either A) 2 new recruits, or B) one really cool place.
4. Healer
a. Requirements: A) new recruits, or B) one really cool place
5. Guard
a. Requirements: A) 5 more recruits, or B) two more really cool places
6. Guard Captain
a. Requirements: A) 20 more recruits, or B) 10 really cool places
7. Elite
a. Requirements: A) 30 more recruits, or B) 30 really cool places
8. Commander in Chief
a. Requirements: A) 50 more recruits, or B) 50 really cool places
9. Guildmaster: Nevarine
Currents Amount of Members: 24
The Function:
Recruits advance when they go through the function. The function is a course that shows that a recruit can do all of the basic commands and actions listed:
1. You move using the arrow keys.
2. You run holding shift.
3. You autorun by pressing the R button. (once to start, once to stop)
4. You spawn by using /spawn. IMPORTANT: In order to spawn you must first use the updater.
5. You shout by using /shout
6. You chat privately by using /tell
7. You guildchat by using /guild
8. You can type sentences that look like \" \" by using /me
9. You can pick up crystals by right clicking on them and clicking on the hand picking up a coin.
10. By using /help you can find all of these tips and more!

Email morrowinder92@hotmail.com to if you would like to join. If the player, Nevarine, who is the guildmaster, is on PlaneShift please speak to him.
Meetings:
If you join, meeting dates will be posted on the website. The location is also mentioned on the website. The location will always be there unless certain circumstances keep us from getting there.
Also we have taken all of everyone\'s concerns into consideration.

you might wanna consider a name change....the name Legend with guilds has been used (and abused) too much

Why don\'t you check out the Circle of Legends guild? They are pretty much what you have... with many members and a good reputation. http://www.circleoflegends.tk . Although you would probably have a better shot at PMing Dameon, Skizzik, or Sabrewulf through these forums.

Soon as I saw this I was thinking of a totally different guild from a totally different game...they were a big guild to so I really wouldn\'t be surprised if teh started expanding :P Thank god they never or you would have lots of FESFES clones on your hands *stares at FESFES and grins*

The second I saw the legth of the first post I knew it was another Metal Militia. BTW where can I get these... FESFES clones ;)
Well back on topic, you should really tryloomking at the structure at other guilds in the game and see what you should have. Some ranks, forums ect. would be nice :) There is hope to make your guild ummm (whats the right word?) worthy?

I would change the name if I were you...
I dislike rpless guilds... I mean, you don\'t seem to have an objective and your guild has no background history or a small history for itself.
But that\'s just my opinion, carry on if you\'re enjoying it ^^.

I will metion most of everyone\'s concerns to Nevarine the guildmaster. For those who didn\'t check the website and said something about the stuff that we DO have, you should have looked before commenting. Thanks for the suggestions for those who had good ones.

Umm ok so I looked and I have no idea what your objective is besides maybe sign up as many people as you can. I do not know what your history or background is either?

I think that the promotion system is a bit weird and totally artificial in a roleplay game. (And how to prevent cheaters to create a lot of fake accounts and \"sign up\" them to be promoted?)
So... why not, but it seems to be a bit inconsistant.

I think he was referring to the Legendary Warriors, which was even before my time.

We are have started thinking of a better guild name and one of our members is currently working on our history and such.

For those who didn\'t check the website and said something about the stuff that we DO have, you should have looked before commenting.
Some people go through the trouble of actually posting all of the important information on their guild thread so that those who read it can reply without being forced to check another site (where the information can be harder to find because it\'s spread around the site).
It\'s very useful, because some people just don\'t have the time (or will) to be looking around a site for information :P.

Well I could edit the post so it says all the info here instead of making people go to the site. But it is the same as you not taking up time to go look at the site. You are making me write out all the info here and that is taking up my time too. But if you want me to I can.

If it\'s a conflict of who\'s time is more precious, you\'ve started by wanting to share your guild with others, Crimsonsky. It would only follow that if it is truly important to you and worth defending and sharing, you would spend a few more minutes organizing the necessary information into the introductory post. Studying the various threads of other well-established guilds in this forum would have given you many ideas :) So if you\'ve started by sharing, then do it thoroughly, without stating that it\'s going to take up your time. That\'s a given. Running a guild takes up time. Posting in forums takes up time. The point is to manage something efficiently so that you won\'t have to post too many follow-ups.

Hmmm.... Your promotion requirements mean that in your guid, you can\'t be promoted for any combat action, gaming experience nor for financial help to the guild...
Following, that means that to be a Commander in Chief, you only need to have \"marketing\" skill and no other skills. In its order, I would say, your only goal seems to be \"to get as chunky as possible\". While you need to watch out for a large amount of n00bs that could begin their PS profile in your guild....

I particularly enjoy having to show your leader:

Guess we will have lots of those in CB. But I suggest you take that out. You will soon run out of interesting places...

Our ranking system is for MB right now as there is nothing really to do. But it probably will be changed for CB. Yeah we probably will run out of intresting places.
