Very nice,
but change \"greater\" to \"greatest\".
Currently it makes no sense.

While the PS license isn\'t actually \"Open Source\", the code is GPL, so maybe \"freeware\" isn\'t the appropriate term, though I don\'t think \"Free Software\" is, for the above reason. \"Open Source\" IMO would be the closest fit, but of course the devs might view this differently.

I never thought of that, technically, PS is called open source...
Xordan, I hope that too.

Yes, but IMO it doesn\'t even hint at the real beauty of PS: the freedom as in speech, not (just) as in beer (with the restrictions mentioned above).

While the no cost part certainly is a great benefit, the openness part IMO is of even greater value. If I were to distribute an OpenSource product, I\'d not wish it to be classified as mere Freeware, as I think OpenSource and Free Software are superiour in terms of benefiting everyone.

Freeware is inappropriate terminology.
Freeware usually implies a complete program, that was completely made by one group with no outside input.
OpenSource, means that anyone with the ability to effectively contribute can do so, it is a much nicer term.

oh well... I mean that I consider it as freeware for my site listing... average user are just \"USER\" and not else... :) we are talking of \"different POV\" :P

I\'m not sure why you put USER in quotation marks... of different POV for that matter. I -think- I understand what you are talking about though.

Well I meant to say that I\'ve defined (and considered) on my site, Planeshift as a freeware, because is free to play and no cost for the user, and my site users usually are people who are looking for good games with no costs :).

I know that there are a lot of licenses, but I\'ve simplified them (in my mind) when I\'m looking for quality games that can be listed on my little site :)

Note: well... my site was (initially) born to learn PHP :P
