Half Life ownz j00 :P
In my eyes Halo 2 looks like it is going to be even more crappier than Halo 1

Yeah, I\'d have to agree, even if Half Life 2 sucks the game will still completely own Halo 2 (though I was highly impressed with the graphical improvement over Halo 1).

Pretty much if Half-life 2 sucks there will be mods and multiplayer that is impossible to mess up, on the otherhand Halo was quite a disappointment and I\'m kinda weary about Halo 2.

To quote rapier7 from another forum (http://www.tauniverse.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28763) I visit very often:

The thing with Half Life 2 is that even if the actual game that Valve makes sucks, the tools available in the SDK is enough to make any modder want to worship Valve as the only god, and Source as its prophet.

It is so true.  Halo 2 could be the best game ever, and Half Life 2 the worst, but HL 2 will still completely pwn.

Half Life 2 looks really good, so does CS2, I can\'t wait for that.
Never was a real big Halo fan, it was fun in small doses multiplayer at a LAN.
My brother\'s preordered it, so I\'ll see then.

Edit: What are the requirements for the WoW open beta? I really want to play it. Maybe I\'ll sign up for the stress test.

Details for the stress test are on their homepage: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/

I don\'t know though, I wasn\'t too impressed with what I saw and read on WoW.  I think playing EQ has de-sensitized me to mmorpg\'s (except PS for some reason).  The graphics weren\'t anything too spectacular (nowhere near EQ2) and from what I read on actual gameplay I wasn\'t really impressed.  Maybe you can inform me otherwise.

OT: I love the new sig Adeli.

Well as far as World of Warcraft goes, the graphics are not in the same realm as EQ2 but  thats because they are trying to be Warcraft graphics. This is neither good nor bad it is just Blizzards style. I personally think that the worlds in WOW are very plush and alive.
Since I have only played the game for about 8 hours total all I can really say about the gameplay is it seems to do alo of things that EQ did wrong. EQ made me not want to play MMORPG\'s cause of the grinding and PLing going on and what not. With what I have played of WOW it seems like there is always something to do but again I have no high level character to judge this on.

In general, normal people (gamers mostly) call everybody that uses cheats hacker.
That term is wrong.

Hacker is orginaly a word for a very good programmer or a system administrator that uses \"hacks\".
A hack is a smart solution of a problem.
Most of the cheaters are lame script kiddies (term for somebody who calls themselves a hacker but uses others work because they lack skills in creating own) so calling the hackers only worsens the case.

Crackers are programmers that likes to destroy or breaking software to get past a certain point.
A crack is a new exectuable which bypasses the old instructions to run the crackers code, or simply jump over the CD checks which are the most common, or delete the registering reminder of some application

I hope this calarified some things :)
P.S There are many definitions of these two terms, but this is after a bit of research that I have settled with.

And right, sorry for the OT :) D.S

OUCH!! whered HL2 come from?!
Title:
Post by: Khilandar on November 10, 2004, 04:34:33 am
well completed the game, and i must say that halo2 did not live up to my expectations....:( And the ending was not as good as in halo, only made me unpatient for halo3...(not because h2 was that good, but because things start to get hot :D)I think halo campaign was much better then that of h2, but h2 multiplayer is soooooo damn good!

Overall - i\'ll probably never player h2 campaign again (maybe co-op coz of friends), however, ill keep myself busy with very nice multiplayer :D, until H3.

I played Halo 2 some (I got it for my store).  I didn\'t much like the first one, got kinda boring, but it was fun for the first few days.  This is basically the exact same game with a few more weapons/vehicles to me and didn\'t last a hour.

Glad I didn\'t buy it. ;)
