Title: Carrying things
Post by: Satha on November 09, 2004, 08:04:30 am
Okay... I think that there should be some kind of limit on things you can carry.

Here is my idea, lets say that every item has a weight and that depending on race and strength and stuff everyone has a max amount that they can carry. Once someone gets to the limit the speed they move could decrese and they would fatigue quicker.

Also somthing that could help would be backpacks or some such thing. The weight of an item could be decreased by half when it is in one.

Sorry if someone has mentiond it before... I diddn\'t look around that hard to see so... But yes, I think this may make the game more realistic and fun. (Oh there would have to be someplace someone could store there items then, like a bank or at there house or somthing)

Im sure there will be a weight restriction. If there isnt one then they should put one in. I dont like when people can walk around with 5 long swords, 7 maces, 4 long bows, 8 suits of chain mail, ect ect ect...

There is a \'weight\' statistic in CB, so I would assume the devs have taken this into account. :)

I think another good idea would be to be able to buy different bags/backpacs which can hold more items.

Noone mentioned a stamina bar at all... But CB does have a fatigue bar.

Does that mean the more the bar builds up, the more tired you are?
Stamina decreases to cause fatigue, so a Fatigue bar would be a reverse...
Is this the case, or was in inaccurately (but still acceptably) named?

Judging from the four published screenshots, a full 100% bar seems to be standard. So i guess stamina bar would be more fitting.

sorry for this later post, but wouldn\'t weight restriction or item capacity already be a given? I mnea it really isn\'t an all new idea; no offense. I\'m just saying that I presume wthat they\'ve already thought of this idea. (They meaning the Devs).

I think the devs would have already thought up stuff like that yes, but I was looking around lately and no one that I have looked at has mentiond fatigue when carrying things.
I just think it more realistic for somone to slow down when carrying allot of things  :)

I hope there is a stamina skill that you can level up to make you a better runner or make it so you can run for longer periods of time.

It will most likely be affected by your Body Development skill.

Maybe it will be a mixture. Endurance, Strenght and your Bodybuilding skill could be added and divided by three (only an example) to determine your Stamina
