I hate opening on a negative note so

:D

There, now I feel better.

Now that I have been nice  ?( What are you talking about? It looks like you just put a bunch of random information down. Does the guild...excuse me...assosciation actually do anything or have any real, well, guidelines?
Looks like Anarchy to me.

I think he\'s sort of trying to form a religion for Talad. If so, count me out. Phinehas is agnostic.

\"This is not a guild but an ?association?. I think that noone will join anyway\" -> Why this way of thinking? Come on, in time you\'ll have plenty of members ;)
And yep, it looks like a religion for Talad, though I must admit it also looks pretty nice.
Your post is rather chaotic, so I think some order will be welcome as well.
 Also:
\"Talad might become the leader, IF they changed the second rule displayed at http://www.planeshift.it/community_guilds.html ? \"
\'eh, you do  realize that Talad\'s role is already taken, and he\'ll sure not join any guild? It\'s best to remain only followers of him, though I never understood this kind of things :/ Why to pray at someone else, when others can pray at you? :D

Just because you have two ranks for PS developers, I don\'t think they would join you without a damn fine reason. ;) And at the moment, this \'association\' sounds like a bad place to be for anyone with any form of self-preservation instincts.

The point of your association seems effacing yourself for the good of Planeshift.

The comments I have are that you seem to mix two separate worlds: the ?magical world of Yliakum? and the ?normal world? in which volunteers develop a game called Planeshift. Other guilds have goals and visions and such, but they are restricted to the world of Yliakum, while your association has put ?the development of Planeshift? as highest value. You?ve put the Devs in charge because they are the most important for ?the development of Planeshift.? The non developing members of your association are supposed to help Planeshift by doing nice to other players and thereby helping it attract more players. I think you should keep those worlds separate. It?s a ?role playing? game after all, you are not your character. If you want to be a ?good? character: help others for the sake of a better Yliakum (join a good aligned guild). If you want to help the development of Planeshift: spread the world about how awesome it is among your friends or join the dev team if you have the required skills.

An other comment: Planeshift is a GAME in development. The devs develop Planeshift for fun.
The players play Planeshift for fun. Fun is hard to define but it seem like you?re planning to totally efface your character while playing: You help others literally as much as you can, without asking something in return, not even a bit of respect and not even a ?thank you?, for you don?t need that. Besides that your patience is endlessly and you are willing to forgive people endlessly if they misbehave. In other words: you?re pure good.
By playing that way, you?re character doesn?t develop at all, you won?t make many friends for people won?t understand you and greedy people will abuse your kindness and laugh about you. That can?t be fun. IMO. It?s no shame to think about yourself a bit more. You?re playing for your fun.

I don\'t think a Planeshift guild has a purpose in real life...

\"about PS Dev team:
I only state that ps dev team has complete control over this guild and can stop/modify it any time if it\'s annoying them or for any reason. \"

Tm m8, don\'t want to sound rude or anything, but I don\'t think any devs really care about this.

Also, I don\'t think there were flames among the replies.

With these said, once again ... Good Luck! :)

Hmm, well. It needs some improvement. That\'s like an codex, but you NEED some rules, or your members will **** on your codex (that\'s what I call it). But the idea of a religion isn\'t too bad. I won\'t join you, \'cause I have an other point of view about \"being good\", but that doesn\'t mean that the idea is bad.

?(  I see... or rather I don\'t. I do not believe your \"association\" is clearly defined enough to acquire many members - I mean what exactly is the benefit of joining?

You know, this has got to be the most interesting thing I\'ve seen pop up in the Guilds forum since I first came here. I\'m genuinly interested to see what happens. It\'s just... so odd, contradictory. And somehow I feel TM knew the exact response he would get from this idea. I also feel he\'s a little crazy, but that just makes it better to watch. :)

Watch out guys, something tells me not all is what it seems here...

Good luck with everything, TM.

This might look stange after my previous post, but since Tm changed his first post a bit and I consider myself Pure Good but imperfect, I decided to join this association.

I hereby declare that I will literally do my best to help as many people as I can to make Yliakum a better place.

I am already in a guild, but since Talad Ex is no guild but an association I don\'t think that\'s a problem.

Tm: I look forward to meet you.

Edit: Tm: Maybe you\'ve deleted a bit too much of your first post. The idea behind it is brought back to it\'s essence, but I think Zephirus is right when stating that Ex Talad as an association it\'s not clearly enough defined right now. Maybe you can put a few off the old \'rules\' back up but call them something like\'properties\' to avoid discrepancies.

These are just suggestions, don\'t feel forced to change something if you think it conflicts with your original idea.
Ohh, and don\'t feel compelled to break your own restriction.  :P

This association makes no sense. What does a member win from joining this? What\'s the purpose of being a member? You are recognized as a helper? That doesn\'t help much, since noobs won\'t know how to tell one from another...
I don\'t know, this just sounds terribly futile. If it keeps the way it is I doubt very much that it will surprise anyone.

Anyway, good luck making it better.

\"Special restriction for Tm: posting on the forum more than once a week is forbidden.\" --> This makes no sense at all...

Tm, good intentions, but you need a reputation first and a good presentation. Like a website, knowing the community (to what extent I can\'t say).
Title:

I know the community. I\'m just quiet. I don\'t speak much.

Edit: SERVER IS CURRENTLY SHUT DOWN

okay then you are going to need a better presentation.
Anyways it doesn\'t really matter...your gonna have to work hard and do lots of convincing to get a guild/group/cult/society like that to get started...

I got a deal for you..

You make me a member, with full power to change the association as i see fit.

If you would do something like this here it would be better then it is now.

=-----+-+------=

Alignment: PURE EVIL

Rules:
1) We are pure evil.
2) We are extremely violent, and we don\'t want anybody to obey any law.

Ranks:
Official ranks, ordered by punishment or believe
1: Imprisoned Slaves
2: Free Slaves (People who asked to join)
3: Enemy\'s (In order to achieve this rank, just be a member of the cabal )
4: Slave Priest ( The personal Slave of the bishop )
5: Slave Bishop ( Chosen by the Slaves, hoping to get a better life then their current state of being )
6: Personal Slave of the Counsel members
7: Personal Slave of the Chosen
8: Counsel of the Damned
9: Chosen

Guild purposes for normal members:
1)On the forums: Proof that you are worthy to the Chosen
2)In the game: work for the Chosen
3)In real life: Obey the Chosen, get more members to the association
4)Elsewhere: Think about the Chosen

Once you are a member of this association, you cannot get out of it anymore, once a slave, always a slave

=-----+-+------=

That\'s pretty much an improvement, i can make it more perfect then it is now, but basicly, you should obey the Chosen.
