I don\'t know if there was a post like that, but on I didn\'t find anything about that on Planeshift.it so:
I think it would be awesome if there would be some interactions between Players & Players, or Players & NPC. Somethink like shaking hands, waving, dancing, snogging, hugging, etc. , OK it really sounds like the SIMS, but would you think it\'s aestethic if there was a pair, who married, bought a house, who never snogged? Or a merchant, who would never shake hands after making a good deal? I want to hear you opinion.

You can already greet ppl with /greet but i cant remember if you bow when you do so

Is it not possible to make a script that do all the greetings for you?
Example;
You walk down the street and you notice three people that you have spoken too before, the script will have some kind of \'DB/log\' with people that you have talked too and execute \'nod\' move, if your real close and your standing still it will do the \'handshake\' ;) etc etc.
A limit to the handshake and nod movement will be needed so that your character only do these \'actions\'.
Lets say that you meet 20 people on that same street, I don\'t wont to be looked upon by others as some head banging retard, so my character may only nod to five of the closest/most talked to.
I don\'t want to klick a bottom or write a command every time I see anyone that i reckon.
That\'s all for now cheers!

Currently, this stuff (called \"emotes\" FYI) is rather limited, but I, too, wish for it to become excessive in the future. It should also incorporate the various extremities that non-human species (like Eknis) have, and that body language will be more prominent. I\'d like some setting for mood that sticks (so that your face goes all grumpy if you\'re in bad mood), and also these \"making oneself look bigger / smaller than one is\" (by having hair stand on end (for Enkis) or erecting the wings (for Klyros) (or erecting the ears for Elves :P ), or ducking).
The autogreet script is a nice idea as well, but it should be customisable so that you don\'t greet ppl. you\'re not supposed to know or who you don\'t want to show others that you know them (like if you\'re in a thieve\'s guild, or spying in the enemy city). Also, the way you greet should be affected by your current mood (i.e., if you\'re all grumpy you don\'t go waving your hand and smiling broadly if someone walks past. Maybe you even ignore them if you aren\'t very close friends, but surely you\'d only wave vaguely if they would greet you).

I agree, and my example were just an idea for the basic script.
I would love a dynamic set of \'action buttons\' (?) that will appear and disappear with certain event\'s. When there is music on a tavern or anything like that a button will appear to invite someone of your choice to a dance. If you make it simpel people will dance, greet others and do the things that gives atmosphere.
I really hope that I made some sense there!

If you are standing in a group of people how do you just greet one person, in reply to the head nodding thing, it probably would be coded in game that if a dev walked past you would do the /worship emote

This is usually done by eye contact or saying the name of the greeted one. Sicne these fine things can\'t be implemented yet (as the tech is too crude), this needs to be replaced by a server feature: if you see someone you know and greet them, then
- your char turns towards them and
- the server checks wether or not they will greet you in response ad if yes, does so.
This ensures that only the one you greet will respond (so that you can\'t start a greeting flood)
Also, if there are several people who greet one person, this person will only respond once, probably with some form of collective greeting emote (like briefly waving in each direction where someone stands), like IRL.
So basicly the server knows who is greeting whom, and can figure out what to do by itself.
