Hello all
Well let me start by introducing myself i am Jazeera, and i as you probably aldready have guessed has made a guild called cult of the moon.... and instead if writing my hands of here is the link to the home site: http://medlem.jubii.dk/cultofthemoon/ so just look at it and tell me your opinion... and if anyone are interested in joining it don?t mind sending a little mail.

uhm... there\'s no moon in Yliakum...
and website is doing that flashy thingy on the left :/
- Swords
-
Ya since there is no moon that might be a problem. But nice site and guild make up. Good luck.
-
*Requests additional info in the thread* You may check some other guild threads to get some inspiration ^^.
Apart from that (and the fact that there is no moon :P) it seems to be a well structured guild. You still have some work to do on it, but having more members (dedicated ones) will surely help you.
I would also like to know more about your objectives ^^.
Good luck with it.
-
Good job! I think site looks nice and it looks like you\'ve prepared much better than most other people that present their new guilds.
-
Well many people believes in something that does not exist... and maybe they would make a moon.... but what do i know... heh, oh and Sangwa you will get a better presentation later, tomorrow maybe... and Draklar i don?t see any flashing things anywhere on the site ?(
and i there a goddess of the night? cuz if there isn?t then thats plan B :D
- Jazeera
-
The sponsor links from right keep flashing on the left. Dunno, maybe \'tis just me... or Opera... or something...
And there\'s no moon because Yliakum is underground :P
You can make whatever gods you want however. This religion sounds kinda like Wicca btw :P
oh yea, and good luck. :)

Wow read the site over...looking good...looking good, didnt even pick up on the fact that it was based under the moon which our realm does not have. Not until I read the other responses..good luck not sure how your going to get past the moon thingie
-
well i once belonged to the religion of wicca, which may be the reason ;)
Didn?t knew it was underground... interesting..... then i?ll better stick to a goddess of night/wolf theme.

Yes, good luck with the guild, it looks promising.
About your site, I would suggest switching to a different server, something that is ad-free. Try Freewebs, you can import all your html files and have it ad-free.
-
Ya free-webs is a great site hoster for free. They also have a big variety of templates. The ad on your site is annoying but you already know that :))
Other then that your guild looks very promising 8)
-
No, do not use one of their pre-made templates. Everyone uses them. :O The one Knights Templar is using has been used by at least 15 other guilds since I have been here. Myrtl, you need to change that. 8)
You can import your html files and have the exact same site you have now without the ads.
-
I would but there are no more good ones... X(
There happy? :)

Could I make the site using my beloved Dreamweaver, then just upload the HTML and all needed files?
Does FreeWebs support that?
-
After some consideration.... i think i?d rather join a guild than make one myself, i am the lazy type after all..... so anyone who can think of a guild like the one i wanted to make?
- Jazeera

It looks good Jazeera :D
You can usually predict whether a guild will stay around from the response it gets from the community :) - So my bet would be that your chances are pretty good around here.
If you have the stamina to keep this going and get yourselves some devoted members, the future looks bright.. (And dark for the forces of evil + The Cabal) :))
Whether you call the guild \'Cult of the moon\' or the \'Wolfs of the Night\' (Or whatever you decide to call it :P) I wish you the best of luck
Edit: Meh... I\'m typing too slow..
I\'m saddened that your already dropping the guild but if you do not feel for it, your making the right decision to let it go now.
Depending on yourself, I would think that Rebirth or The Defenders guild might be the thing for you.
Defenders: link (http://defenders.rr.nu)
Rebirth: link (http://rebirth.fragnetics.com/)
If you want to stay with the nature thing: link (http://www.freewebs.com/therangersguild/) (Otherwise check out Kada El\'s Tavern (http://tavern.blueglyph.net/modules.php?name=Guilds) and take a look for yourself)
-
Well from my observations, it\'s hard to find difference between elven and Wiccan communities... so you might want to check Calen Vakhar :P
- Swords
-
Or you could always check the most promising new guild of the Planeshift realms ... ;)
Dream of the Sarukai (http://www.leinir.dk/dots) \'till the end!

Yes, thats the beauty of it.
-
Ahhh Freewebs, is there anything it can\'t do?
-
Actually, yeah, it does have a rather limited storage space.

It strikes me that none of you seem to know that there\'s a surface world as well?!
-
Maybe it\'ll strike you less if you realise that no one actually saw the surface and that kinda kills the thing that some people would know what is moon (this one is actually easy to fix) or that wolves would howl to it...
Yeah of course we know there\'s surface. But it\'s some kind of toxic wasteland (If I remember right). Who would know what\'s there? If someone would give god a symbol it would be probably something he knows...

Next time read more closely, the humans first to withness this sun stone or whatever it\'s called named themselves Ylians i believe! The people that arrived later were humans and other races. So it sounds to me that they came through portals and therefore from the surface! Really this stuff is on the Plane Shift website i believe under history!
And don\'t forget it\'s just a game! ;)
-
oh, I\'ve been reading it closely, but logical assumption is that \'Planeshifters\' aren\'t the first people (otherwise all the Yliakum cities would have to be built during just a few years). Thus they never saw a moon.
When saying no one saw surface, I mean the Planeshift\'s world surface, not the one from other dimensions. So, again, no one would know if there are any \"moons\".

Well guys the cult is closed for good so relax, me and my brother are on trial at the Rebirth guild

A shame really, i was looking forward to actually see your Moon Cult being created! :)
I think it\'s only logical to assume there is a moon, even in other dimensions which would be a part of this world since they travelled through it!
-
The people don\'t even know the concept of a \'moon\'. They live beneath the surface, they are happy.
Oh, by the way, those portals they came through? Why do you think they were above ground?
From the History section:
In the Stone Labyrinths, the Masked God realized that the two portals had been created by Vod?l\'s magic powers.
-
I\'m sorry people, but I have to put forth my two trias (give you my two cents) on this \'moon\' subject.
The majority of you seem to assume that since no living person in Yliakum has ever seen a moon, then they would have no reason to believe that moons exist. This would ignore the fact that all peoples have oral and written histories. Why would a people not remember such a prominent thing as a large glowing object that hovered seemingly magically overhead in the night sky? They do remember that Yliakum was not their original home, so why would they not know what those worlds were like, at the very least, in myth and legend?
Just because you have never seen a thing doesn\'t mean it cannot exist. Just look at all of the religions today. How many of you have seen heaven?
My character in PS will be very connected the/a moon. Hence my name.
-
I already answered that:
If someone would give god a symbol it would be probably something he knows...
oh yea, and as I actually belong to the \"cult of the moon\" irl, I don\'t believe in heaven. :P
Owl: On what you base your logical assumption that there is a moon, and not more than one of the satellites? Or none for that matter.

My dear templar \"friend\" i do not believe in the concept of magicals portals that only connect to other dimensions, while a portal can easily connect to some location in the same sphere as Yliakum, perhaps above ground.
Since there is a still a lot to be discovered (blanks) anything is possible.
Nice site Draklar!
