Title: HELP!!!! I can't open the file
Post by: Artemis on November 29, 2004, 02:47:16 am
I\'m sorry if this has already been posted, i\'m a noob

I downloaded all the files from the aleron mirror, plus the reassembler. then clicked the run_me_bat thing and a file with the planeshift icon popped up. i clicked that and a message came up that said \"NSIS Error: Installation may be incomplete or corrupted\"

Please help!!!!!!!!
If you can\'t help please recommend a mirror to download from.

Get part1, part2, part3, part4 and part5. The only reason why the installer gives that error is because you are missing one of them, or they\'re not the right size.

part 1-4 were size 19532kb

part5 was 9794kb

the reassembler was 1kb

is this right?

The sizes seem to have been rounded by windoze, but within that margin, they are OK. Are they in the same folder, including the reassembler?

the entire error message is:

NSIS Error

Installer corrupted or incomplete

this could be a result aof a failed download or corruption from a virus

Please don\'t triple post. The Edit button is there for a reason.

You can try re-downloading them all, or you can try using the new run_me_first.bat file which can be found in a sticky thread in this board section. Or you could wait for the next playable version to be released. Don\'t ask when- there\'s no release date, or estimate, or even guess, better than this: \"Soon\".

Just a thought: did you or your downloader rename the files? They need to be called exactly as on the website, i.e.

PSV0.2.010.Part1
PSV0.2.010.Part2
PSV0.2.010.Part3
PSV0.2.010.Part4
PSV0.2.010.Part5

including all the dots, and no extension. Make sure the Explorer doesn\'t hide known extensions.
