- PlaneShift Version you are using: PlaneShift_CBV0.3.002
- OS: MAC OSX (10.3.6)
- Computer type: Ibook; 800 mhz; 128mb ram.
- Video Card model (N/A)
- Compiler (only for people that built the client from sources) N/A
- Character Name N/A
- Details on the problem:
When i go to unpack the Planeshift_CBV0.3.002_macosx.dmg file, i get past the liscense agreement screen. However it fails to unpack and gives me the error message: Planeshift_CBV0.3 Input/Output error. This happens while ini the process where my computer says it is verifying the contents.
-
Try to redownload?
-
PS. i skipped the varification step of the unpacking, and it unzipped with little to no trouble, but then when i double click psclient.app, it bounces in the dock and wont load. I wonder if i should just re-download the file or what?
-
ok ill try re-downloading, what is the link for that again, i think i deleted my email link... Or if you are not allowed to post the links in the forum, i will just try to find the download in my download manager and re-start it.
-
Sounds like a corrupted download to me.. the verification step does a checksum of the contents.
-
i re-downloaded the file, and it unpacked perfectly fine. I will start it up later today and post any bugs i find.
cheers! and thanks

ok, whenever i run the psclient.app, the app bounces in the dock and then quits. The difference between this and the other problem detailed in the thread \"osx client crashes on startup\" is that i do in fact get a submit bug report to apple screen that pops up. Please help as i would like to start testing and reporting in-game bugs by later tonight.
ps. i do in fact get the crystal blue screen, but nothing is on it. Then the screen goes away and the submit bug report to apple pops up.

You are probably missing \"libvorbisfile.3.dylib\" which I forgot to include in the distribution. I will attempt to get the necessary files somewhere accessible soon.
Thanks,
Daniel

ok thanks. When you get that/those file(s), where will they be available for download?
-
Theres a thread for that here created not that long ago.
Install Fink, run Fink Commander, and get the lib file.
