Title: A Casino $$$!

I think that a blackjack, poker, and other cardgames... perhapse some asshole, texas holdem, etc... Maybe some slots... (if thats not too technilogicaly advanced)... dice and cup... roulette... etc! THATD BE GREAT! ... Im pretty sure that a casino in planeshift would be GREATLY popular... of course its just a place to waste your money... but thats what casino\'s are!!! I think it would be ALOT of fun... and I would probably also lose all my money there

 No, I think it\'s pretty bad idea.  First of all, casinos are recent inventions and don\'t fit into PS world.  If you mean gambling den or something, then yes, it could work.  Betting on illigal fights, this n that.  But casinos, cmon man

Along the lines of money, some people seem to be against that very concept of money. Makes me wonder if planehift has an economy which doesn\'t need money.

Not Poker Machines lol
like a table with a NPC dealer, and people could join and play together. Could be fun to play and chat with people. Plus when they implement alcohol, the virtual drunkenness will make it even more fun! /me remembers back to his EQ drunk days.... \"Just one more....\" eheheh

I realy like it, just some mini games and casino liked games to waste money on or become rich by it :P

People should be able to own casino\'s too :)

Ofcourse it shouldn\'r be called \"casino\" but something else becuase it\'s still a fantasy world :)

I think casino is an idea which has no place in planeshift : you apeak about poker, blackjack, and so ones but you aren\'t able to tell me if these games were invented in middle age !

but there already were money games. If you wanna see the number of games they played just read Gargantua written by Rabelais.

I wasn\'t thinking of a communist movement, since that is still a system. I was talking to someone who doesn\'t play this, but that person claims that almost all rpgs are limited by systems such as economy(in a money sense), thereby limiting the possibilities.

Considering the fact that there is characters in planeshift that are MEANT to stay in town... Hence the line in the \"ABOUT\" section... where it sais... Become an adventurer, or a economical based character that both have their advantages (thats roughly what it said)  If theres characters for only town then how is it that there would be a non-money based game?  THIS GAME NEEDS TO BE MONEY BASED CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT IT IS AN MMMMMMMMOOORRRPPPGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok follow these steps:

1) Inhale.

2) Exhale.

3) Repeat as necessary.

Now you have calmed down here are a few points I want to make.

* MMORPG\'s do not need money.

* Economies do not need money, its merely more convenient.

* I was not proposing the removal of money from PS.

* Cities/Towns do not need money.

And now for something completely different...

Casinos and gambling are not the same thing.  Casinos are a relatively new \"innovation\" while gambling has been around for thousands if not millions of years.

MMORPGS get boring very fast without a good economy system.  You dont seem to have a grasp on this.  Without an economy based game this game will blow, end of story.

What YOU don\'t have a grasp on is that I was never suggesting a change in Planeshifts economy and that I never said that PS should not have money.  But saying that a \"good\" economy does not NEED money but as I said money is easier to work with.

Economy system= Buying houses ETC with actually putting EFFORT in... if everyone had a house in the first day it wouldnt be special would it?  and having a big\' ol\' castle might say \"I got no life\"  But it also sais Daaamn im fly! look at mah castle.... Therefore... Economy is necessary. <-- This might not make sense considering im drunk.  But that doesnt change the fact that economy is needed.

And dont you remember DIABLO 2?  in that system... their economy became \"TRADE U 2 STONES OF JORDAN FOR 1 EXECUTIONERS SWORD\" and thats all it was... those stupid rings that were worth the moon.   Im sure nobody wants a repeat of that.

I think gambling on a game is a bad bad idea. do you know how hard it is to collect crystals when there are like half a million other players on. betting on illegal fights is kinda ok i think but gambling no way known
