Title: Updater doesn't check versions

Planeshift version: PlaneShift_CBV0.3.002_macosx
OS: 10.3.6
Computer: 1Ghz G4 Powerbook 768mb ram
Video Card: NVidia GFeorce FX 5200
Character Name: Mosfet Cthulhu

Bug Title: Updater doesn\'t check versions
Severity: Low
Client setup: 800x600 Windowed
Bug Details:

The updater doesn\'t check versions (or size/date/etc) of files present.
As a result, rerunning the updater will download all the same files again, each time its run.
It should only download the needed files.

That generally should not happen.  What files in particular, or does it download many files repeatedly?

It looks like its downloaded the same set of files each time.
It downloads the registry
Checks updates.
Then downloads all the files which takes a rather long time.
I\'m running a third time and its getting 227.38mb in 216 files.

a bunch of:

data/gui
data/options
data/shaders
art/backdrop
art/worlds
art/things
psclient.app stuff
and a bunch of other misc files

Yep, I\'m getting this too.  Something\'s obviously broken with the way file versions are identified..  Additionally,  instead of getting a  66MB psclient executable, I\'m getting some 3.9MB file, even though the server has the correct version.  I am suspecting that files are not being saved correctly...

I MADE IT !! now it works... 3.003

how??

easy doing.... now i tell you (ehehe)

1. new installation from scratch : Planeshift_CBV0.3.002#85B43.dmg

2. download the file or_lighting_portal.xml and put in /data/shader/

3. update (don\'t know if needed) :Planeshift_CBV0.3.003_updater_macosx.dmg

4. VERY BOORING : download all files in : http://laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/macosx/psclient.app/Contents/

(be sure to maintain the same structure also in your psclient.app)

5. change your folde /data with the content in : http://mortal.mortalsaviour.net/cb/data.zip

6. start psclient.app    :-)))

(i hope to not skip any passage)

5(1/2). you need the right toolbar.zip file !! the usual is broken...

take it here..    http://laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/art/art/gui/toolbar_all.zip

change the name to toolbar.zip and replace in the usual folder /art/gui

What we really need to do is get the updater working so that people don\'t have to do all that :)

But I\"m glad you can get past the problems and test the actual game part of things.
