does anyone have the sid miers civilization 3 game I think it is ok but planeshift I think is much better.
anyone else have it. what do you think about it?
-
I had it, and I got really bored with it..
It has quite nothing to do with planeshift though, building, researching, killing, building, researching ... mouarf, you\'d better get rid of it, it will free some space on your HDD
-
i found civ 3 to be pretty good game. the endgame i\'ve tended to find fustrating.
but unless you are into the genre you will find it boring.
-
I thought Civ3 was ok.
I like Rome: Total War alot more though.
-
I have it, I love strategy games, so I like it.
-
I\'ve got it, and I like it.
Game wise, I like it more than PS, because for me, PS is a crystal hunt/chatroom, not very interesting, but PS is only in development, early stages I might add.
-
One of my suite-mates has it and he\'s on it constantly. It didn\'t really look all that interesting to me. I\'m really into RTS games, but turns aren\'t my cup o\' tea.
OT: *looks at Adeli\'s sig*
I completely agree, red jelly beans rock.

Dude, seriously. (http://albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php)

but do you mean cinnamon or cherry jelly beans? I don\'t like the cinnamon ones, but I do like the cherry ones...
-
I like cinnamon jelly beans, because when you eat a lot of them, you can cry and write it off as the spice of the jelly beans :D. Very helpful for school and such.
Anyways, I have Civ 3, and I think it is one of the most boring games ever made. Turn based strategy games are NOT my thing... but Real Time Strategy games like Age of Mythology and others, I find, are very interesting.
By the way, verideon, get out more. Talk with your friends (if you have any), or, otherwise, innocent bystanders about such things. Stop flooding the forums with strange, uncapitalized, questions and posts, sans punctuation.

Hay Keknehv I think you need to watch your back cose thats where I\'ll stab you if you insult me one more time.
You insult me and you\'ll have me and the whole \"Knights Templar\" guild on to you.
so next time watch it cose I don\'t really want to make an enemy yet.

Well there are ways of killing someone than sending a whole guild against one.
And also do (I\'m not used to Knights templar) but would they just kill one because someone annoyed them OT?
-
Keknehv has my full support on this one. :D
And as I\'m a firm believer of a unfair fight, I can send my whole guild, which is 10x the size of \"knights templar\" on you verideon ;)
Of course, I can always be bribed to change who I\'m supporting :P
And yes, I have Civ 3. It was a great game, although too easy once you got hold of ICBM\'s. Usually I won by the space race, although sometimes I did win by conquest, but that means using nukes which screw up the planet.
-
Bah my dad played that game exclusively for 3 years. Then again, while he was playing that for 3 years I was playing morrowind exclusively. :D I guess both of us are unhealthy like that.
-
OK Keknehv, Merdarion, and Xordan
The way I said that was not as a threat but as like a warning. And no I don\'t really think my guild would really support me in such a matter. but in our code it says
2. Never leave a man behind, your guild is your family. and
9. Stick up for yourself. Stick up for the guild.
those two codes of our guild I think might come into play here somewhere. :):):):)

What I do is when I start I put my science spenfing up to 80% then get my Technology up way infront off my enemies and then get out all the heavy artillary, jet, tanks, infantry, cool boats, and my favourite the ICBMs, the nuclear subs and those small rocket thinges. :)

Civilization III is a nice game, but if you\'re not a maniaK of the genre, I suggest avoiding it.
Also, the reason why I\'ve posted here. Verideon this is for you and OTHERS that does the same thing. Please use that button called \"edit\". It\'s a lot easier you know. Stop making multiple posts one after another, because they\'ll be considered spam.
I really don\'t have anything with ya ... just a friendly advice.

RISE OF NATIONS!!!
woot, game owns so many other RTS games, in my opinion ... that Cossacks and Empire Earth... so screw you guys... ill stick with these games :)
-
ive played most of the civs and i can tell you that it would be addicting and take a long time to play
-
My second in command who you guys know as Edooo/Exuro just got this game. He says its not working on his comp though...
-
I have it. Did not like it. Maybe because I\'m still in love with Heroes and Hearts of Iron.
-
I have it, and I like it. But you have to be into games that put your diplomacy and management skills to the test to really enjoy it at all.
