hey guys i\'m new to this game (actually this is my first day)............ i haven\'t actually been able to play apparently they are moving a server or something but it says that it can\'t find the server..........but my question is.....does this game have a first person view to it?

Yes it does and you can look on the main site\'s player\'s guide to get a feeling of what was or will be possible during game play.  But this was not just a server change it was a major version change as well so the guide may not be valid once the transition is made but it will help you get an idea  :D

yes it does, as well as third person. Its your choice. And you are correct, the servers are currently down, the switch is being made to the new client, Crystal Blue. You will need to download it again, Sorry. Welcome to PlaneShift

thanks for the help guys.........man i am pumped about this game, the graphics look so awesome, and first person is awesome for a free game like this.........the extra downloads will have no effect on my enthusiasm for this game.........good job to the creators.......and again thanks for the guys......

No problem Xavier, I hope to see you in CB when it comes out.  But what a time to start, just as the version that has been waited for so long comes out, though you will never know the days of MB, those freaky floating barels, all those walls to get stuck in, the tremendous lag, the endless crystal hunts, those talks in the temple, the frustration when talking to a NPC; it may have been simple but I loved it and will carry the ashes of the hard drive that held MB forever!  

(Ok, ok, the last was an bit of an exageration, do you really think that I would burn a perfectly funtional hard drive, eat one maybe but burn one, never!)

Eating a harddrive won\'t increase how much you can stomach.
Even though he won\'t see the improvements which will happen in the transition from MB to CB, it\'ll probably be good to know that he gets a good first impression (hopefully) after all first impressions usually speard faster then \"wow it improved so much\".

I played this about 2 years ago, just remember running around a lot...heh  Friend turned me on.

Stumbled across Planeshift this time, searching for linux based RPG.  I think there is huge opportunity for planeshift to capitalize on the Linux movement.

This is gonna be a gas!
