Title: world map for me and all to see :)
Post by: sesmi on December 18, 2004, 11:16:53 pm: would someone make a world map of the known ps world? not that pic of the stalagmite, but like a close up of all the currently player known ps world. thanks :)

Post by: swift on December 18, 2004, 11:29:21 pm: I\'m not sure whether there was a notice somewhere asking people not to post quest solutions etc. Something rings a bell. I\'m not sure wheter a publicly available map would be counted though - better ask a dev before you made one publicly available.

That aside, I do think that a basic map would be necessary, but it shouldn\'t help people with quests etc more than would be realistic.

I don\'t think that anybody thought of a map in MB- the game world was far too small to need one, but in CB and later releases a simple map would come in useful. I wouldn\'t expect anyone to take offense at your making a map for your own use, or for the use of your guild.

I think that if you want maps you\'ll either have to buy them from someone or make them yourself.

This image, along with the one Syzerian provided, is pretty much all the publicly released info there is on the PS world... Oh, and somewhere below the Stalagmite/tite is a big city.

I too believe that a basic map would help, for cities maps are vital, for the overworld... maybe a basic map can be made. something drawn by hand if need be.

i\'ll dig it out and post it for anyone who wants to look at it... its in chunks and is spaced basically to the number of steps it takes to get across halls and rooms

It would take all the fun out of it if someone gave you a visual view of where to go. The fun is in exploring or following the cryptic directions that old gezzer gave you back at the temple. This does not matter because you have all the chance you want to explore because you are dead so you do not have to worry about people killing you as you wonder around.\"

See how simple my system is :D Be prepared to see this book in a massmarket paperback addition at your local \'Bards and Nobles\'.

[Edit]I am sorry I forgot that the last part might not be understood if you do no live in the usa. One of the major book store franchises in the usa is \'Barnes and Nobles\'. Sorry I did not realize the need to clear up my references earlier :) [/Edit]

For you unkillable people then all you need to do is follow the advise I gave for the death realm for everywhere.

Well, a GM might come along... And they can kill anyone. :)

And Kwip, I think, whenever the ability to publish books in PS gets available, you should write that book of yours and share it with the world.

Yeah. Some crazy newb in game saw that map and freaked out. He ran to the temple to tell us all how he knew where everything was going to be, and how the developers were giving us a sneak preview of what CB will look like.

We never could convince him otherwise...He probably drowned in the sea of glue looking for the enki city or something.
