Hi there
I am Edwinna a prophet of the goddess and her high priestess, me and my partner Giltanas have made a guild called Children of the goddess. It is based on wiccan belief and i would like to explain the basic info on our guild:
Alignment: Lawful good
History:
Edwinna?s story
As little I used to live in a remote village, I don?t recall it?s name? but I do remember that terrible night. As always we were celebrating the shift of the year? but that was when they came, a band of bandits had been raiding the neighbour villages but we were selfish we never thought they would come to our village? I clearly remember the screams of our villagers as they were cut down one by one? I hid under my bed, but they tried to burn down our house and I remember my mother taking me under her arms and I remember that we made it to the outskirts of the town, but then a bandit saw us and rode after us? my mother? told me to run and I remember her praying to the goddess I hid behind a bush nearby and saw?. I saw my mother being raped and then killed? it seems that the bandit didn?t see me?. That night a shining woman appeared, and told to me these things ?Edwinna, I know you?re scared but you do not have to fear me, I am the Goddess I have chosen you to me my priestess, because you have a good and kind spirit and your heart is big? do not cry for the people of this village because they are with me now, they are all happy and will all be following you on your quest in life. Your mother is happy to hear that you are the chosen, but she is worried the world is a dangerous and evil place? and you have yet to become a woman you are still a child and will not survive alone for long, I have sent a warrior he will be your guardian? and he is a trusted follower of mine, with him you shall make the world a little safer, heal the people protect them and protect the earth? but you two alone cannot handle this, therefore you shall go and spread my religion, go and make some more people join our cause, this is your destiny!? with that the goddess disappeared and the night was dark again.
The next morning I went back to the village but it was burned down and all the villagers were lying in a big pile? it seems that the bandits had burned them and eaten all of our stock, I remember seeing a figure standing in the village. He saw me but I was afraid so I fled, but I wasn?t fast enough he caught up with me and told me not to be afraid? this is what he said ?don?t worry little friend, my name is Giltanas I am sent by the goddess to protect you?
?What is your name little one?? he smiled to me ?Edwinna?. Ever since then we have been together, and he have saved my life countless times. The last that I remembered was a bright light and I was here in Hydlaa?.
Giltanas? Story
Well it was an evening like any other; I have been at work as a royal knight well that was my job then. Well I lived in the kingdom of Flynn a country where all believed in the goddess? it was a beautiful country, but it was plagued by a band of dark cultists who had been raiding several villages, we have been trying to stop them but they used some kind of summoning powers to stop us, well anyway I was finishing my evening at the local tavern? as always. It was not until later that evening we heard of an attack on the village of Cornelia, near the southern border I ran out and jumped up on my horse and joined the brigade who were to stop the cultist, but we were too late? it was a terrible sight all the houses had been burned down and the villagers were placed in a big burning pile, our captain told us that it was some kind of victory sign that they left at all the villages. The other knights went home, but I stayed to investigate and see if I could find some leads to stop these meaningless killings. Suddenly an old woman appeared out of nowhere and I thought it was some kind of a trick that the cultist had made so I drew my sword. ?Do not fear me knight, I am no beast of these cultists I am the Goddess. I have come to tell you that the kingdom of Flynn is doomed to fall? I looked with disbelief at this woman and asked ?and why are you telling me this old woman??, ?well, because you are my chosen! I want you to take my priestess away from here, to another dimension? I must say I was shocked by these words and asked ?another dimension?? she smiled to me ?yes another dimension, there you will find the city of Hydlaa, and there you shall protect her and help her with her quest in life?.
I must admit thought about it for a while, but then agreed on to help this priestess the last the goddess said was that the priestess still was a child by saying this she disappeared as fast as she appeared?. I waited and dawn came, I had found a amulet on a man I guess he was the chieftain that was when I heard a noise like someone sobbing, I turned around and saw a little girl looking at me. As I started walking towards her she fled, but I was the faster and grabbed her in the arm and tried to calm her down? ?do not worry little friend, my name is Giltanas I am sent by the goddess to protect you?. ?What is your name little one?? I tried smiling and hoped she would answer ?Edwinna? I must admit there was something special about this girl? suddenly this bright light blinded us and we where standing in front of a large town?.
Goals: Our goals are many but here is a little list:
1. Protect those who are weaker than us and those who need protection.
2. Heal the sick and the wounded.
3. Protect the nature and the world we live in.
4. Spread the word of the goddess.
Roleplaying:
We want members who really can be their character, and be serious when playing.
Rules:
Well do not attack others unless they attack you first.
Heal the sick and the wounded this is your duty.
Do not betray the goddess.

Looks very good! And you\'ve also put some thought into it. I\'m hoping to see this grow :D

Nah, this is a guild. Guilds > Religion, simply because religions are trying to add in a new part to game history, where guilds generally are trying to shape the future :P Religions generally add in fake Gods because they can\'t think of a way to make their guild work with the current existing ones :rolleyes: Worshipping the land and stuff is ok though :D

well thanks for the positive comments, and do have a little bit of religion with us... but mainly we worship the elements: fire, water, earth and air.
and well i agree that we are a bit like followers of ali something, but we do much more than healing people.

Hey im Giltanas
and i guess i am a little late heh, but about the site i know it looks weird but i only have a 800x600 pixels screen, but when i get a larger one the site will be updated and should look normal to all.
And just so you know the site is not finished yet, and we are working on getting it done soon.... oh yeah thanks for the comments but could anyone not also give a little critique? like something we could do better to attract more members ;)

Nah, this is a guild. Your guild seems very well structured and ran by capable people. But I shall do as you asked and point out some flaws that I found.
The 800x600 issue makes the site look wacko, but you\'ve made it clear that it\'ll be fixed (Santa Claus will get you a new screen? ;)). You also have some typing errors, but they\'re easily taken care of (if you want me to I can send a PM specifying).
In the \"Home\" section I would put the news poster\'s name in a more fitting place, check other sites to have some examples. Also having that \"-Made by ...\" thing everywhere is a bit annoying ^^. You can simply throw your names in the Credits for making the site.
Your \"Story\" section is a bit stuffed up with information ^^. Maybe you should add some story of how this guild came to be (like how the goddess came into contact with you guys) and simply leave there the information about \"The Guild\" and \"The Godess\", while getting a new section for the other less important (even if interesting) information.
These last are personal opinions though ^^. I hope these critics help you improve your site.
IC: *Sangwa looks down* You\'re right brother Draklar... sorry, I got carried away. The mentioning of the word \"Alaithi\" gets to my nerves ^^.

well the screen i am not sure of yet, but i will look at things about news and story tommorrow, and Sangwa i know about the typing errors and just so all know it is not our main language but you are welcome to send me a PM sp i can fix these things :)
And i guess you are right that the \"made by\" can get annoying and i will see to that.... tommorrow
if anybody else has something just let me know :)

Hmm.. the background of the menu, it sometimes makes the links disapear (seeing the links of the menu are black and the space between the paper is black) other then that I think Sangwa pretty much covered it...

I\'m curious... You\'re children of a goddess, yet you don\'t worship her? That\'s funny. Kinda like being Jesus, but saying you don\'t believe in God. Oh well... Good luck, I suppose. Can\'t have too few nice people out there, helping others, so more healers are always welcome. :)

Goddess = Mother Earth (maiden, mother, crone... wicca? ;)).
Mother Earth represents nature and all elements ruling it.

well Grono i guess Draklar said it all, the goddess represents the elements and since we worship the elements we worship the goddess (hint hint Mother earth), and by the way we hope not be on the bad side of the followers of aliathi since some of our goals are the same.
and Efflixi Aduro under our site there are some rules called the holy rules or rules of the goddess... i forget anyway they are guidelines of the goddess and if one breaks one of these rules they have betrayed the goddess.... or if they talk bad about her..... hope that helps ;)

Oh yeah i should say from Giltanas that the current website only is temporary, he is quite busy working on the new one, just so you all know the new site will be out around the new year.

Anyway, we don\'t have anything against more kind people showing up... We\'ll just make a few crusades, then some years later we\'ll apologize and say we don\'t know what came over us, and we\'ll all live happily ever after... Well, no seriously. As long as you don\'t turn out to be some evil cult that is going to poison the minds of the people everywhere, we won\'t have a problem with you at all. :)

I don\'t think that\'ll happen :P.
Anyway, even if that was their goal I think the Cabal would thwart their plans, I doubt greatly that they would let some one jeopardize their corruption monopoly :P.

We have decided to close the guild for now and wait until we have learned more about the game, so we might be back with another guild later with different names and so on....
