So is there a date set for it yet?
Also, I can never seem to find the thread I post. They seem to disappear. Can anyone help me out here?

Well on the 19th, when they started migrating the charcters they said you had 5 days to do it, but there was a bug and everyone had to do it again on the 20th... that puts the date for the end of migration at about 24th or 25th of december. Migration seems to be the main stage in swtiching from MB to CB, im not sure if there will be anything after it....

The release date will be set one minute before the release is done. i.e. we don\'t set release dates. Don\'t expect one.

mercinary stated the words right out of my keyboard. Yes im thinking that planeshift will finish migration and then the test will probably take about a week. I hoping it does take more than two weeks because after that winter break for me is over :(

i just got here not to long ago and i hope it wont take to long but when it get here it get here the staff are doing the bast they can to get done let them do there work and let us quit crying about it the more we cry the more it upset them that we dont care for there needs as well

one was about how this one guy agreed with the other, the second was just a major lack of periods , but it was why we shouldn\'t wine about cb.

What I think is that developpers thought CB would be released on 25december. That\'s why the migration period became shorter (2weeks->5days). But they fund or will find bugs (like migration script ones) and it\'ll be released later... I hope there won\'t be any server crash...

I\'ve heard that CB will be released at X-mass.......2003.
Keep it quiet. Maybe it\'s only a rumor. ;-)

I estimate it most likely will come around either late january or late february. But then again it seems like every time we try to estimate it, further and further back the delay goes.

I actually think it will come out the 25th:) Iv seen thedevs dropping little hints to play with our heads so if all goes well, soon. :)

they wouldent have the wait that long (Jan - Feb) cos if they where then they would of shut down the server and started migration later.

I\'m hoping for early January because I can\'t get it from home over the Christmas break, I have to wait until I go back to school... plus it can be a birthday present for me if it\'s early January :)

well those final tests could take any amount of time, from a few hours to a few weeks. But they\'ve already done the main client and server testing, so im assuming they\'d be testing stuff like the new database and the server. Which shouldnt take as much time as the beta testing took. But of course thats just specualtion, because of course they said they dont know how long the testing will take.

Not Christmas please? Cuz if anything goes wrong with the server I wouldn\'t want any of our guys to be popping by the data centre to do any maintenance. Even if we have to we won\'t. Also, there is a maintenance window at the data centre on 26 Dec, so I\'m hoping any release would avoid these 2 days like the plague.

I want CB to come out before christmas cose i\'m getting a new comp game for christmas and I want to have a look at what the new CB version is like before I start spending 24 - 7 on my new game. But if I have to wait then I have to be very patient unfortunately.

My theory is the developers were originally hoping to have it all finished at christmas, but with all the bugs, it\'s probably going to be released sometime after. Probably last couple of days of December, early January.
I definitily doubt it will be out before christmas though, looks like you\'re going to have to be patient verideon. :(

personally i can\'t wait as i haven\'t been able to play at all yet. so i am hoping it will be good. even if it is onyl one town at first it is probly gonna be ok. i can\'t wait.

true, except i am about 10 hours ahead (because im in australia). So it\'d probablly come out on boxing day for me. So i have no problems with it coming out christmas day, as long as it isnt my christmas.
Besides, i dont think that if you lose one day or 3 hours play then you\'ve lost the chance to be the greatest PS player ever... it is one day lost in the beta stage, this is all warm up anyway..

Myrtl I find that comment insulting to me, I stay home at X mas because I have nothing better to do. All my freinds are Christians so they will be at church yet I am an Athiest so I stay at home.

I think not being baptised/committing one of the 7 deadly sins are the only ones thaty auto stop you from getting into heaven.
I am also a lapsed catholic. My own personal belief that it is how you live your life and treat others which determines the worth of your soul - not sticking to the doctrines written by a male-dominated beaurcracy which spent most of its existance trying to build power and wealth (i.e. the Church).
But that is my opinion and in no way am I disparaging those who have different beliefs.

Ok just now i click on my favourites and go to the main page - its the old green one right? - now i go to the forums using the links community -> forums ok bear with me... then i go back to the main page in my old window (not by clicking \"back\" but instead clicking on \"news\") i am greeted by a blinking dwarf in the upper left of the screen and picture of a bar (tavern) at the top and a brown page with different font on the remainder of my screen. Finally there is a link that reads \"CRYSTAL BLUE RELEASED DOWLOAD HERE\"
Anyway i acutally went to the main page to participate in this debate coz i wanted to quote the devs (or whoever posted the news) who said (in a very hintingish way) \"We hope it will be a happy Christmas ;)\"
Now if i was to interpret this \'hint\' i would say they hope to bring it out on Christmas day especially if you take into consideration the length of time between the post about the numerous bugs with the CB closed testing they were performing and there next post, thus providing time to remedy these current bugs and add additional content etc......and design new pages for the release hmmmmm.....
What do you think?
EDIT: the link for the CB release page comes up with a 404 error :D sorry bout that :D
EDIT 2: seconds after posting this i checked other parts of the site - they have the same layout now as the main page i described, which obviously came up first! TAKE A LOOK THIS IS SO EXCITING! **wets himself** X( not again)
EDIT 3: as far as i can tell all pages have been converted to this new layout now except the player guide page.
I have just realised that i may be making the most monumental fool of myself if this page and layout has been up all day ;(
hehe you can also click the kran and enkidukai and they move hehe im such a kid at heart :P

IF its released xmas day, it will take the whole day to download anyway, cos its alot bigger then mb was and everyone will be goin manic droppin their xmas pressies to dl it, then, if we dl it by end of xmas day its a mad rush to get in the actual game, and no doubt the server will get player diahorrea through the strain of taking that much attention. so IMO DONT expect the whole release to go nice and smoothly, you WILL be shouting at your computer for not downloading it fast enough, and crashing while login in :p

YOu think so? I\'ll be too busy christmas day to start playing then, likely. If I start downloading when I get up it should be done before lunch(my computer rocks like that).

mine rocks more, i can do it in an hour :p, yeah our pcs are fast at dl, but the server will have a limit too, just htink about 300 minimum of us fast dlers all at once wantin the same file, it\'ll be like findin a file on kazaa that isn\'t porn and a virus

But they\'ve reassured poeople somewhere else that CB will be better and can support it.

yeah i thought the server would be like major laggy when it first comes out... but think about it everyone has different download speeds, so there wont be like a massive rush but like gradually more and more people until it thins out..

Also, the CB server will be a large improvement from the MB server,so those with wussy computers being taken out of the picture, it should be able to hold those that CAN get on.

Kwip has a wussy computer (well not really a wussy computer just a wussy dial-up connection) :( Can only dl at night to becuase parents want to use phones during day :( But the sooner it is released the sooner the process can start :)
By the time I finish dl my monitor will have a goatee (more like a full blown beard) ;)

Too keep as much server bandwidth free it would be awesome if people could spread it in an effective way but - like Auckland, New Zealand\'s traffic system - it will never work ;( :D

if i had the money and knew how to post it i\'d do it kwip, but bein in uk you would get it until mid january unless i forked out 40 quid 4 special delivery lol
