Title: The Day of Giving
Post by: Kiva on December 23, 2004, 05:26:36 pm: In celebration to the Day of Giving, the Church of Aliathi is opening up a donation fund, where all the money which is donated, will be given to those less fortunate who have not been blessed with an excessive amount of money by the gods. If you consider yourself a friendly and generous person, feel free to donate as much as you\'d like to our fund, and help us help others.

Once more specific details about the Day of Giving have been announced (ooc: as in when CB is going to be released), we will announce a place and time for people to come and give their donations, and after a period of time, people who are in need can then get help, in terms of diffrent kinds of starter items. Help spread the happy spirit, and share your wealth.

Currently, the fund holds 25,681 trias. If all the donations show up on the day, that is. But let\'s hope so, otherwise there\'ll be a few disappointed faces out there. :)

Post by: Kwip on December 23, 2004, 05:32:45 pm: I did not get overly much since I did not spend my time crystal hunting and I will have to wait to give to see how much money I am donating to our guild and how much I will need for basic protection; but after that is figured out I will be glad to donate :D

Just a note though who will be these \'less fortunate\'? Just want to know who my money will be helping :)

OOC: It\'s for all those who don\'t start out with an advantage. Like many of you got a great deal of money transferred from MB to CB, but a lot didn\'t, and many more people will start playing as well. And to try and spread some happiness throughout the game, we\'ll be giving out stuff to those who don\'t have anything.

As for me, I\'ll be donating all my money since I\'m sure that anything I\'ll need, I\'ll be able to get on my own. I have no need for charity from the gods, so with the current donations, the fund is at approximately 16,000 trias. And don\'t worry, if you\'re a bad person, but still wants to help, you can always choose to donate anonymously. We\'ll respect that, and as soon as our new guild hall (website) gets ready, all the generous souls will, of course, be listed there. :)

The Followers of the Aliathi are even good in the eyes of someone who is called a madman from those who he calls mad, because of different idas of good and evil.

As soon as I get anything I will donate, but why only on one day? I would find it better if you could donate any day of the year

Well we can\'t promise that we can donate things out for sure, more than once a year, but if we get a lot of money in donations, we can always have other events from time to time. For now, though, this is just fine.

I am so poor. Have I mentioned how poor I am?
I am so poor that when I go to McDonalds I have to put the $1 meal on lay-by*....

Surely I am the poorest character on MB!!! :P

(Lay-by is the Oz equivalent of \'lay away\' - unsure what it is called in other countries)
