Did CS install with Cal3d support? If not, re-compile it with Cal3D support.

That fixed that problem for me.

I just installed the program, installed all the updates, and still get this error while creating a character.  Downloaded the current version of the windows installer.

Please any ideas on fixing this issue?

Emachine AMD 64 3400+, 512MB, 80GB, ATI M. Radeon 9600, XP SP2.

Although Cal3d appears to be the route of the problem it is fully installed.

Anyone have this bug thats not on Ati Radeon Mobility 9600/9700 ?

Same problem here - cal3d installed and working, CS build with support for it but it still gives that error.

GeForce FX5800U here.

I have the same problem on my gentoo, I compiled everything again from CVS this morning, and I still have this mesh problem.

I run the game on an XP2000+ with a GF4Ti4200, but I suppose the problem isn\'t connected to hardware.

For everyone who has this problem. If you did not install cal3d in a standard location then you must manually set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to where the cal3d.so.10.0 file is. Something like this:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/bloober/place_where_I_put_cal3d:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Also make sure you are using the CVS version of cal3d and NOT the latest release.

Greetings,

I helped Kwartz with this, although we never got it solved :(

In his psclient.txt, it said:
Quote

  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.
  LoadLibraryEx(C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\sprcal3d.dll) error
998: Invalid access to memory location.

But we couldn\'t figure out what it meant. I would be very thankfull if anyone who has succeeded to solve this (If there is any) contacted me with steps or something

Thanks

Greetings,

Thanks, that solved the problem, I\'ll just precise something:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/bloober/place_where_I_put_cal3d/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

This must point to the lib subdirectory of cal3d rather than the cal3d directory itself.

Yep that did the trick, seems like that export for LD_LIBRARY_PATH is missing in Acraig\'s Gentoo howto.

Thx Jorrit and Leander256 for correction!

Now I don\'t neem that damn Widow$ anymore!
